toguu Archives Museum
Experience local history at the hometown of the great man ZuikenKawamura
This museum is located in the birthplace of Zuiken ZuikenKawamura, a great man known as a great merchant of Edo who made great contributions to shipping and flood control.
The museum mainly stores and exhibits historical, archaeological, and folklore materials related to the Minamijima area of MinamiiseTown.
In addition to an explanation corner by ZuikenKawamura, ship models, earthenware, and ancient documents, there are also Showa era home appliances.
Additionally, the museum is a relocated former toguu Naya Elementary School, and its wells and old-fashioned ceiling beams are also highlights.
Nearby are ZuikenKawamura Park, a spot where you can enjoy Kawazu cherry blossoms and hydrangeas depending on the season, toguu Fudo Falls, where Zuiken is said to have gone to pray, and the graves of Zuiken's parents, making it a land connected to ZuikenKawamura It is cherished.
In the summer, sunflower and jumbo sunflower seeds are handed out, and admission is free, so you can easily enjoy it with small children.
It has gained recognition on social media, and many people have become fans of the beautiful surrounding scenery and leisurely flow of time, making it a facility that is currently attracting attention.
