Atago Shrine

The enshrined deity is Hinokaguushi no Mikoto. The main buildings are the shrine, worship hall, sanctuary, and portable shrine. After the Great Hoei Fire that completely destroyed the town of Nabari, faith in Atago Shrine, the god of fire protection, increased. The Atago Fire Festival and the Nabari River Summer Fireworks Festival are held on the most recent Saturday after July 24th every year, attracting large crowds of people.
