Exterior of Ikunoshin Monno Memorial Hall

There is a stone monument at his birthplace adjacent to TobaCity History and Culture Guide Center in Iwasaki Town (Toba 1-chome).
The memorial hall for Ikunoshin Kadono, a man who contributed greatly to the founding of life insurance in Japan, was established in 1984 by the Aikei Scholarship Society (Tokyo), an educational promotion organization founded by the Kadono family, and Chiyoda Life Insurance Co., Ltd. It was built to house more than 3,200 materials donated to the city by the Monno family, and some of the materials related to Ikunoshin are on display.
Additionally, there is TobaCity Guide Volunteer Center on the 1st floor, and TobaCity History and Culture Center on the 2nd floor.
The exhibition room has been renovated and introduces Ikunoshin's journey from his childhood to his success as a businessman, divided into six parts.
Approximately 100 valuable materials are on display in an easy-to-understand manner, including photos from their time at Keio Gijuku, current affairs comics by Monno and Tsuyoshi Inukai that appeared in the Jiji Shinpo, and calligraphy by Yukichi Fukuzawa.
