Fukano Washi was started as a side business for farmers in the Fukano region by inviting paper makers from Mino. At the Washi Wagyu Center, you can experience making Fukano washi paper only during the winter (December to February). (Reservation required)

Detailed information
Paper making experience is held from December to February
Paper making experience takes about 1 hour and costs 1,000 to 2,000 yen for 3 pieces of colored paper (reservation required at least 2 weeks in advance)
35 minutes by bus bound for Iidaka Regional Promotion Bureau from JR/Kintetsu Matsusaka Station, get off at Fukano stop and walk 15 minutes
25 minutes by car from Ise Expressway Matsusaka Interchange via National Route 166
