GojobanYashiki Yashiki
A tenement house where the Tokugawa-related warriors banded together and lived.
A samurai residence where Kishu feudal retainers moved to protect Matsuzaka Castle at the end of the Edo period.
This kind of group house is very rare in Japan, and people still live here today.
The interior of one house at the north end of the west building is open to the public. (Nationally designated important cultural property)
