``Wisteria'' is ``White Ko Hitan Wisteria,'' ``Shika Hitan Wisteria,'' ``Red Wisteria,'' ``Lipstick Wisteria,'' ``Rokushaku Wisteria,'' ``Nine Shaku Wisteria,'' ``Nagasaki One-Year-Old Wisteria,'' ``Yaekuro Ryu Wisteria,'' ``Black Ryu Wisteria,'' and 1,800 trees of 10 types of Shiranoda wisteria bloom from late April to early May on 10 types of wisteria trellis spanning 10,000 m2 and standing trees within the 58,000 m2 park.

Wisteria Garden Opens RedHilForestofHisa (TsuCity)

From Friday, April 12, 2024 to early May, the Wisteria Garden in Akatsuka Botanical Garden's Red Hill Heather Forest will be open for a limited time while the wisteria blooms!
Wisteria flowers have been loved by Japanese people since ancient times for their gentle fragrance and beautiful appearance, and many poems have been written about them in Japan's oldest extant collection of waka poems, Manyoshu.
The wisteria garden has 22 famous wisteria trees that came all the way from the foot of Mt. Fuji.
Flowers bloom in a variety of colors, including white, pink, and purple, and you can even see rare golden-leafed wisteria.

Wisteria at Matsusaka Park (Matsuzaka Castle Ruins) (MatsusakaCity)

Matsuzaka Castle was built by Ujisato Gamo, and today there are no buildings left, and only the magnificent stone walls remain. The wisteria here is an old tree that is over 300 years old, and when it is at its peak, it has hanging clusters that are over 60 centimeters long.

Taikoji Temple, located at the eastern foot of Mt. Otonashi, is an old temple of the Shingon sect founded by Gyoki.

There is a wisteria tree in the precincts that is said to be 150 years old, and its elegant appearance with pale purple flowers blooming on the wisteria trellis captivates the hearts of those who see it.
The wisteria festival is held every year from late April to early May (planned) and is crowded with many people.

Wisteria at Taiganji Temple (KameyamaCity)

The long flower clusters are over 1 meter long and hang down, resembling a chandelier. The light purple color gives off a sweet scent, and the precincts are enveloped in an elegant atmosphere. The best time to see them is late April.
