We had a canoeing experience that both parents and children can enjoy at kahadavalley in Iidaka MatsusakaCity! The canoe experience at kahadavalley, where you can fully enjoy the great outdoors, is a recommended leisure experience that even beginners can enjoy with their families, friends, and couples. You can play for a full 2 hours, so you can relax and enjoy nature. Would you like to experience canoeing on the beautiful Kushida River surrounded by green mountains?

Iitaka-cho, MatsusakaCity City is known as ``Matsusaka's inner parlor'' and is a spot filled with the blessings of nature, with wonderful scenery and a beautiful river flowing through it.
At kahadavalley, which is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist resort perfect for outdoor activities, you can try canoeing for beginners and families!

The canoeing experience will be held on the Kushida River, a clear stream with beautiful clear water.
The Kushida River is said to have been given this name because a long time ago, Yamatohime no Mikoto dropped a comb on it. It is a first-class river that was selected as one of the 18 rivers in the country that were judged to be the best in the 2016 water quality survey.

For the canoe experience, we first gathered at Michi-no-eki "Iidaka Station." Let's meet up with the staff.
The experience has a capacity of 2 to 8 people, and is recommended for those who want to relax and enjoy it with their families or groups. Groups can also inquire.

The meeting point, Iidaka Michi-no-eki that not only sells a variety of souvenirs, but also has hot springs, restaurants, and relaxation facilities.
Especially recommended is the hot spring! There is ``Iitaka no Yu,'' which also has an open-air bath with a view of Iidaka Town, so you can take a relaxing soak in the hot springs after your experience!

After meeting up with the staff, we will move together to the riverside where you can experience canoeing. Even if it was your first time riding a canoe, the staff carefully explained the experience and did warm-up exercises to ensure that it was safe.

Children of elementary school age and older can ride alone in the canoe experience, and infants can participate together if they are accompanied by their parents. And you can even ride with your dog!

You can have a safe experience by doing the preparatory exercises well in advance. Sports performed in the great outdoors are special. Even if you don't usually get enough exercise, move your body and refresh yourself!

Wear a life jacket for your safety, and we will carefully explain how to use it. Start practicing so you can stay afloat even if you fall while wearing a life jacket!
Floating in the moderately cold river feels so good that you can't help but smile.

Canoeing experiences for beginners and families are held at a place called "Toroba" where the river flow is low.

Each experience is limited to one group, so you can relax and feel like you've rented it out, making it perfect for making summer memories! Once you get good at riding a canoe, you can try going down the river next time, so you can enjoy it as many times as you like.

Proceed to a lecture on how to row using the paddles you will actually use. A canoe whose way of traveling changes depending on how you hold it or move it. The sound of the water paddling is soothing and makes you feel cool even on a hot day.

Now, let's take a canoe ride! Even if it's your first time riding, the staff will provide full support to ensure you don't fall. I slowly stretch my legs and move on. He supported me and slowly pushed me out to the water's edge.

The inside of a one-person canoe is designed to hold your feet tightly, so it is fixed and has a structure that makes it easy to turn around. It's easy to move around curves in the river, and as you row over and over again, you'll find yourself heading in the direction you want!

Once you reach a place deep enough to paddle, you can start the real canoe experience with excitement!
At first, start paddling slowly in shallow water, and when you can move as you wish, gradually start paddling farther. Once you learn the trick, you can move it smoothly!

You will be enchanted by the crystal clear water of the Kushida River, which is considered to be a first-class river. The greenery of the trees in kahadavalley is refreshing, and you can even see small fish swimming around.
You will be sure to be healed by the harmony of the sound of the water being paddled by the canoe, the chirping of cicadas, and the natural sounds of swaying leaves!

Canoe experience times are from 9:30am to 11:30am or from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, giving you a full 2 hours of fun. Let's enjoy playing in the river while taking a break or getting off halfway and playing in the water!

Of course, you can play with peace of mind as the staff will always support you, but it is also important to be careful to play safely.

As you row a little upstream, you will come across this big rock spot! On the way, I got off the canoe and climbed up!
This is a rock that you can jump into and play with.

Let's jump right in! You will get addicted to seeing the water droplets burst and sink! ?
Diving can be done safely because the river is calm. Since you are wearing a life jacket, you can easily float and enjoy it easily, so if you are interested, why not give it a try?

The two-seater canoe is popular among parents and children, couples, and friends, so let's work together in the front and back to move forward!
If the two of you are not in sync with each other, it may not proceed properly. ! As you breathe in synchronization and move forward, you will be able to row smoothly and the ``canoe girl'' will be born!

Canoeing competitions are also held in the fall. Elementary school students can participate, and they compete to be as fast as they can, being careful not to touch the gates set up on the Kushida River. Although this competition is for those who have experience in canoeing, it might be fun to take this opportunity to master your canoe skills and try your hand at the competition! ?

In addition to the slow river experience we experienced this time, we also have a ``relaxing canoe trip down the river'' course for beginners and families!
The price is the same, and this course takes you leisurely down the river to Riverside Chagura. You can choose your favorite course when making a reservation.

Canoeing experiences are held from the end of April to the end of October. The summer season is especially popular, so we recommend checking reservation status early. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet! Life jackets, canoes, and paddles can be rented. (Included in participation fee)
