2. wood workshop

Let's make a wooden toy camera!

At the ``Cute to Make! Wooden Toy Camera'' workshop, you can paint wooden parts in your favorite colors and assemble them to make your own toy camera!
*This is a toy camera that cannot actually take photos.

The target age is 3 years old and above, so even small children can experience it (those under 12 years old must be accompanied by a guardian).
Let's enjoy a wood workshop together with parents and children♪

We will make a toy camera while receiving a lecture from the staff!

First, paint the wooden parts in your favorite color.
For coloring work, we use milk paint, a naturally derived paint made from milk.
Since the paint is highly safe, it is safe for small children to color.

After coloring, try assembling!

​We will use professional tools to assemble the toy camera, such as hammering in the shutter button part of the camera with a hammer and fixing parts with an electric drill.

Thread the wool through it so you can hang it around your neck...your very own toy camera is complete!

The toy camera making workshop takes about 1 hour.
It's great that you can easily challenge yourself in a short amount of time!

“One of a kind in the world! My Colored Pencils from VISON Forest” (pictured left) is for ages 5 to 12.
By adding pencil lead to branches collected from the forest, you can make colored pencils that you can actually draw with.

“Little Bird’s Bird Flute” (photo on the right) is a workshop for ages 4 and up.
Combine cypress parts and paint them your favorite color! I will make a bird whistle that makes the sound of a bird like a warbler♪

In addition, there are plenty of workshops for adults and junior high and high school students!
Some of the workshops include making super authentic woodcraft works such as ``creating carved wood animals using a chainsaw''...!

3. forest activities

Coffee and easy cooking over a bonfire

In the "[Casual Camping in the Forest] Healing Bonfire Cafe" activity, you can enjoy a camping experience in the forest!
The idea is to make coffee and hot dogs over a bonfire.

Target age is 6 years old and above (those under 12 years old must be accompanied by a guardian).
You can participate empty-handed, and the staff will carefully explain the process, so it's perfect for your first outdoor experience.

The camping experience starts with chopping wood and starting a fire!
Place a knife on the firewood and hit it with a thick branch to split the firewood.
This method does not require strong force, so even small children can do it easily.

Once the firewood is split, use a fire starter (flint) to start a fire!
You create sparks by rubbing the two parts together, but it takes some skill.
As much as it takes a bit of effort to start a fire, it's a great feeling when it's lit...!
It's sure to be a good memory.

Cooking over a bonfire that you worked hard to light♪
Brew some coffee, fry some sausage for hot dogs, and brown the bread.

Enjoy your piping hot hot dog!
The delicious aroma of juicy sausage and baked bread, combined with the sense of freedom of eating in the forest, makes for an exceptionally delicious meal!
As I eat it, I find myself smiling more and more.

4. kino park

"Kino Park" is a playground located inside KIOND.
Domestic cedar and Owase cypress are used abundantly inside Kino Park, and the pleasant scent of wood wafts through the interior.

Wooden jungle gym "Mockingham"

The wooden jungle gym “Mockingham” is impressive in size!
Children are sure to have a lot of fun climbing up to the highest point and passing through the tunnel inside.

Let's play with play equipment, picture books, and toys!

This is a ball pool filled with cypress balls!
In addition to Mockingham, there are many other unusual and interesting play equipment, so you can have plenty of fun without getting bored.

Hinoki balls are very light and easy for small children to play with.
The sound of the balls rolling, the scent of cypress, and the smooth feel of the pool make it feel different from a rubber ball pool, and it's strange and interesting!

There are many picture books and picture books inside Kino Park (only available to Kino Park users).
When you want to spend some time relaxing, it's a good idea to open a picture book with your child.

In addition, toys such as magnetic walls and play house sets are all made of wood!

The cafe has approximately 1,500 specialized books and picture books related to trees, forests, and the outdoors, and cafe users can read them freely!
