[Mie Prefecture designated intangible folk cultural property]
It is a festival consisting of the Yoimiya Festival and the Senko Festival, in which a heroic performance of Shinko and a luxurious carriage that has been used since the Edo period parade through the town. This is a gorgeous festival centered around the ``Kuneri'', which spins around while chanting Shinko, and the procession of Gion flowers.
There are various theories about its origin, but it is said that it began when a plague broke out in this area in the past, when Susanoo no Mikoto appeared and gave the festival plums and peonies as medicine, and the festival is used to pray for a good harvest.
This is a festival event that is typical of the Gion Festival in the Iga region, as it is rare for a rural village to have three danjiri, and is thought to represent that the earth was once blessed with abundant fruit.

Last Saturday of July every year Yoimiya Festival from 19:30
Three danjiri floats decorated with snow caves and lanterns from Higashimachi, Nakamachi, and Nishimachi in Hirata parade through the streets at night while playing the Gion Hayashi music, and gather in front of Ueki Shrine to pray for the safety of the festival.

Last Sunday of July every year Senkosai
From 3:30 a.m., the Senko Festival is solemnly held under the light of lanterns, and the mikoshi is carried to the Otabisho.

Kanko Festival The Kanko Festival will be held at Otabisho from 3:00 pm, and bamboo coins, Gion flowers, children's drums, mikoshi, and danjiri floats will be paraded.
When the mikoshi is returned to the shrine grounds, there is a final kuneri, and the festival ends, and the danjiri return to each town.

It was designated as an intangible folk cultural property by the prefecture on March 23, 1979 (S54).
