Hana-no-Iwaya is an ancient relic of worship of natural objects, with a 45-meter-tall gigantic rock as the object of worship. Arima Village in Kumano, where Izanami no Mikoto was buried, as described in the Nihon Shoki, is the name of this Hana-no-Iwaya, and the spring and autumn festival ``Tsuna-kake Shinji'' is a prefecture's intangible folk cultural property.
The ritual of tying a rope around the shrine grounds from the top of the giant rock that is the sacred object of the shrine is a sight to behold! Furthermore, at the Autumn Festival, ``Oshirasuhiki,'' a flower cart carrying a sacred white stone, is pulled, and there are dances along the way.

You can view and edit the sightseeing route (My Plan on My Page) that will take you around the selected spots.
