RedHilForestofHisa in TsuCity has seen autumn leaves deepen in various parts of the park since early November.
Not only the maples but also various other trees change their leaves in autumn, so you can enjoy the colors and shapes of the leaves♪

In this topic, Mie Travel Ambassador Chii, who is a fan RedHilForestofHisa, will tell you about the autumn leaves and charm of the forest, along with photos taken over the past few years and photos from the interview on December 1, 2023.

The autumn leaves RedHilForestofHisa are in full bloom!

RedHilForestofHisa

The autumn leaves have been gradually changing color in the park since early November, and although the depth of the color and the speed at which the leaves fall vary depending on the sunlight and the type of tree, they are currently at their best time to see!

Due to the change in weather this year, some trees have suddenly begun to change color and have already begun to shed their leaves, but inside the large garden, there are still some leaves that are still green, and some that are at their peak now. You can enjoy many kinds of autumn leaves♪

We will introduce you to the autumn leaves in each area of the park that you can enjoy while picnicking with your children or taking a walk in the forest.

In the welcome garden, where flowers and decorations change with the seasons, there are seasonal flowers and Christmas trees.
The big ornaments are also cute ◎

In the water lily pond, which usually starts to change color in early November, some trees have already started to lose their leaves, but the best time to see them is still here.

・Rakusho (1st, 2nd, 3rd photo)
The first carpet of colored leaves in the garden is starting to form. The fluffy orange leaves are beautiful, and the radish fruit that becomes visible as the leaves begin to fall◎
It looks like you'll be able to enjoy it until early December, so hurry up!

・American Fuu (4th photo)
It seems that the leaf tip is divided into five parts like fingers. The leaves are starting to fall, so you can also enjoy the bird's nest and the spiky fruit of the American butterfly.
Early viewing is also recommended.

・Momiji (5th photo)
On December 1, 2023, it was beautifully colored. When you go around the water lily pond, you can enjoy a different look if you look back after passing the maple leaves.

・Pampas grass
It is a fluffy broom-like plant. It is tall and the way it sways when the wind blows is soothing ◎

Next to the Rose Garden, which will be closed from December 1, 2023 to the end of February 2024, due to maintenance, the Rakusho and Metasequoia trees are at a very beautiful time! !

The backlit rows of linden and metasequoia trees sparkle, so much so that you might lose track of time while gazing at them. Personally, this is my favorite place♪

In addition, in the entrance plaza to the forest, there are colored trees such as American lily and Formosan lily. The leaves are divided into five parts for the American lily, and the ones that are divided into three parts and look like dinosaur footprints are the lily.
It's fun to compare the fallen leaves♪

*Please take photos of Rakusho and Metasequoia from outside the gate.

There are also photo spots, vending machines, and restrooms at the entrance plaza to the forest.

In the forest lined with tall redwood trees, there are maple trees that are likely to be at their best during early December.
We recommend viewing the maple leaves in the morning when they are illuminated by spotlights♪

There is also a Formosan tree here, and the fallen leaves on the ground look like dinosaur footprints and are very cute.

There's even a puma statue under the tree...!
(This is an ornament, so please be careful not to step on it.)
The background of the puma is azalea, which has a soft color even though it is in the shade ◎

The color of watermelon gradually changes from the bottom of the leaves, and now about half of the leaves have deepened in color, making it the perfect time to enjoy both green and brown!
It looks like you can enjoy this until mid-December

On the way to this line of trees, the yellow and red maple trees were at their peak, and the contrast was so beautiful that it caught my eye♪

Momiji Valley

The right side of the road is sunny and the maples are currently changing from yellow to orange, making it the best time to see them!
The leaves on the left will start to change color, so there are still a lot of leaves that are blue, but it looks like they can be enjoyed until mid-December.

Also, the Christmas rose Nigel (an early blooming variety) was starting to bloom at my feet♪ You might be able to see it quietly blooming. Please check it out◎

The maple leaves around this courtyard are starting to change color, and you can now enjoy the gradation from green to orange!
It's beautiful whether you look at it from the bottom of the stairs in the courtyard or from up the stairs, so please take a look at it from various angles♪

Also, on the way through the courtyard to the Sakura Plaza, there are many yellow-flowered Aspergillus japonicas blooming, which are an accent to the autumn leaves in the forest. It looks like you can enjoy it until mid-December

There are also October cherry blossoms nearby! The pretty petals are very adorable, so be sure to check them out♪

Miharashi stand

The ginkgo trees near the Miharashi stand have turned yellow and are starting to fall, but the fallen leaves decorate the stairs and path.

Also, near here, the fruits of a yellow flower called cornelian are swollen red and are very cute♪
Pale pink and dark pink lily pads are also starting to bloom, so you can enjoy them for a long time.

The maple trees in the adjacent Ikoi Square are also changing color and are now at their best.

How was it?

Autumn leaves in RedHilForestofHisa

Last time, I covered the Rose Garden RedHilForestofHisa, but this time I was able to walk around the park with the staff and talk to them about the fall foliage in the forest.
December 1, 2023 was a calm and sunny day, and the autumn leaves illuminated by the sunlight filtering through the trees looked very beautiful...!

Also, if you are lucky, you can meet some animals in the park!
I've seen rabbits and weasels, but some people say they've also seen foxes♪

It's very pleasant to take a walk while listening to the voices of wild birds, so if you want to enjoy the autumn leaves in the forest, please come early.
