Tachibana Moribe Birthplace Ruins

Japanese scholar of the Edo period. Tachibana Moribe was born in 1781 in obuke Village, Chomei District, Ise Province, and his childhood name was Kyokei, later Yoshiya, and after the coming of age he was called Motosuke.
Along with Nobutomo Ban, Atsutane Hirata, and Kageki Kagawa, he was famous as one of the Four Great Japanese Scholars of Tenpo, exchanged academic opinions with MotooriNorinaga, and wrote books such as ``Ryoidobetsu'' and ``Kogetsu Shobetsuki.''
This place is said to be Moribe's birthplace, and when he was born in the Sofu family of this region, there were several earthen storehouses lined up within the mansion surrounded by thick bamboo bushes.
