Gohyakurakan in the precincts of Dainichido Day-to-day education guide
Gohyakurakan are stone gods and Buddhas lined up together on a small mound of earth.
It is rare in Japan to have a mixture of Shinto and Buddhism, and near the east entrance there are statues of Dai Jizo Bodhisattva, Nidoji, Sanzo Hoshi, and Kobo Daishi. To the south are Terukou Shonin, the Flame Demon King of Hell, and the Ten Kings. On the top of the mountain are Dainichi Nyorai and the Four Buddhas. In front of it are Shakyamuni Buddha and Fugen Bodhisattva. To the north, you can see the Seven Lucky Gods, En no Gyoja, Amaterasu Omikami, Sarutahiko, and Arhat Buddhas. There's always a face that looks like me among them.
It has been designated as a historic site by Mie Prefecture.
