There are lots of rare plants in the greenhouse!
[FFC Museum and FFC Utopia Farm are currently closed for tours]
FFC Utopia Farm is a greenhouse where Akatsuka Botanical Garden produces garden plants. In the back is a rare plant greenhouse over 20 meters high filled with rare plants.
Tropical trees and flowers that are rarely seen in Japan are planted for purposes such as preserving seeds.
In addition to the symbolic tree, Tokkurikiweed, there are many plants that grow here, including trees such as baobab and moringa, plants that bloom rare flowers such as sagebrush, jade vine, and sagaribana, and plants that bear fruit such as miracle fruit, dragon fruit, and japoticaba.
In addition, the FFC Museum introduces the activities of the Akatsuka Botanical Garden Group, and has exhibits related to FFC technology, a water technology that is friendly to plants and animals. The huge diorama depicting how this water technology has been applied in every aspect of life is a sight to behold.
Across the prefectural road is Akatsuka Botanical Garden's garden center, AkatsukaFFCpavilion, where you can also enjoy shopping.
