[Mt.Gozaisho in autumn leaves]

Hello, this is Koshi Iguchi.
This time, I would like to introduce Mt. KomonoTown Prefecture is Mt.Gozaisho of, in two formats: an article and a Vlog.

Mt.Gozaisho is a mountain located in KomonoTown, Mie Prefecture, with an altitude of 1212m.You can climb to the top of the mountain by ropeway, so it is known as a tourist spot where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the mountain without climbing!

Because it is a low mountain, you can enjoy the four seasons of the mountain, and it is characterized by being crowded with climbers and tourists in all seasons.
This time, I would like to climb Mt.Gozaisho using the route called Naka Tozando and show you the charm of Mt.Gozaisho!

[Access/Parking]

You can get to the trailhead parking lot in about 15 minutes from the Komono IC on the Shin-Meishin Expressway.
You can park for free at the trailhead parking lot, and the nearby parking lot can accommodate about 50 cars.
If this area is full, you will have to park your car at GozaishoRopeway parking lot and walk to the trailhead, so we recommend arriving early.

*During peak autumn hours, the parking lot may be full by around 6am. Also, during the high season, there are traffic restrictions at Kamoshika Ohashi Bridge, so please head to the parking lot via National Route 477.

I'm going to start climbing right away, but before that...

Just in case something happens, be sure to submit a proper mountain climbing report!

About 15 minutes after starting the walk, there is an observation point where you can see Mt.Gozaisho.

If you walk straight up the mountain trail, you may miss this view, so if you are interested, please watch the video and check it out in advance!

You can see that the area near the top of the mountain is turning red even from here!

I'm feeling great at this point!

We arrived at the 3rd station about 30 minutes after we started climbing.

It was a bit hot on this day because the weather was good, but as we climbed up, the trees gradually changed color and it felt so good that we didn't even care!

After passing the third station, you will arrive at a point where you can look up at the ropeway from below!

There aren't many opportunities to enjoy the ropeway from directly below like this. !

When you reach the 4th station, you will be greeted by a large rock called "Obare Rock"!

It was about 10 meters high, and when viewed from directly below, it had an incredible presence!

At the 5th station, you can already feel the autumn atmosphere.

No matter how many times you see the scenery created by the red-colored Imperial Palace and the pure white steel tower, you will never get tired of it.

After passing the 5th station observation point, you can see "Jizo Rock", which is famous as a rock that does not fall!

This rock never falls, even in wind, rain, or earthquakes, so it is said that it plays a role in praying for success in entrance exams. . lol

At the 6th station, Killet (*) finally appears.
Climb down this killet on the way there and climb it on the way back!

It may be a little scary for people who are not good at heights.

(*) A difficult place with a large drop and a sharp cut.

When you reach the 7th and 8th station, the autumn leaves are in full bloom!

No matter where you look, the three colors red, yellow, and orange will lift your mood! Only the autumn leaves. . lol

If you reach this ladder, you'll be just a breath away from the summit area!

In the second half, there will be more places to use ropes and chains, so it's a good idea to wear gloves to avoid hurting your hands. I think there is no problem with work gloves!

It is no exaggeration to say that once you reach this signboard, you are almost at the goal.

The spectacular view observation deck "Fujimi Rock" is waiting for you ahead!

Look at this spectacular view.

I've been climbing every year for the past five years, and I don't think there's ever been a year when the autumn leaves have turned as good as this year (2021)!

You can see this view without even climbing!
People who have climbed by ropeway can also enjoy it, so it is a truly spectacular view that can be easily enjoyed!

As the name suggests, on a clear day, you can even see Mt. Fuji! I haven't seen it yet though. . .

There is a promenade from Fujimi Rock to the summit. Pass through the tunnel of autumn leaves and climb the stairs to reach the top of the mountain!

We have arrived at the top of the mountain!

We were able to arrive after about 2 and a half hours from the time we started climbing. I wasn't climbing at a high pace as I was taking pictures, but I think I was able to climb at a reasonably good pace.

If you move a little from the top of the mountain, you can go to an observation deck called "Bokodai" that overlooks the Shiga Prefecture side!

At Bokodai, you can enjoy the autumn leaves that spread all over the mountain!

You can even faintly see Lake Biwa in the back!

The view when the light comes in is truly spectacular!

Now that the mountain climbing is over, I would like to go eat Gozaisho's famous "curry udon"!

There are two restaurants inside the building at GozaishoRopeway Ropeway Sancho Station.

The specialty there is “curry udon”!
It contains a large braised pork belly and is filling, so it's perfect for when you're tired after climbing!

*The photo is of cheese curry udon.

After eating, we came to GozaishoRopeway Summit Station, so let's go to the Ropeway Museum on the second floor of the building!

Here you can not only learn about the history of GozaishoRopeway and other ropeways across the country, but you can also find hidden scenic spots!
From the window of this ropeway museum, you can see the ropeway going up from directly above, but it is a little-known scenic spot that is little known!

It's good to walk back down again, but this time it's also good to enjoy a walk in the air on the ropeway!
