Welcome to HigashiKishu! Kumano-Owase Road opening commemorative campaign♪

On August 29, 2021, National Route 42 "Kumano Owase Road (Phase II)" connecting Mie Prefecture's Owase Kita IC to Owase Minami IC will be fully opened! To commemorate the opening, we will be holding a gift campaign in which those who spend 3,000 yen or more in five nearby cities and towns will receive prizes unique to each region. *Presents are given on a first-come, first-served basis, so hurry!

In this article, we will introduce the details of the campaign and the contents of the gift, so please take advantage of it when you are traveling nearby!

Campaign overview

For those who visit HigashiKishu region* and spend a total of 3,000 yen or more (tax included) at tourist facilities, accommodation facilities, restaurants, experience facilities, retail stores, gas stations, etc. in <2 or more cities/towns> We will give away wonderful gifts on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are 5 redemption locations, each with gifts for the first 200 people!

* KihokuTown, OwaseCity, KumanoCity, MihamaTown, KihoTown

Campaign target audience, conditions, etc.

 Visitors from outside HigashiKishu area
3,000 yen worth of receipts will be counted as one prize, and the number of prizes per group will be limited to the number of visitors to the redemption location.

①How to receive presents

Michi-no-eki“ Kii-NagashimaManbo” (KihokuTown)

 The prize you can get at Michi-no-eki `` Kii-NagashimaManbo'' is raw bonito flakes♪

``Nawbushi'' is made by smoking fresh bonito, a specialty of this region.It is a product that condenses the flavor of bonito and the aroma of smoked bonito, allowing you to feel the seafood of HigashiKishu.
You can enjoy it in any way you like, such as with sliced onions and grated garlic or ponzu sauce, or on top of piping hot rice and drizzled with ginger soy sauce.

Michi-no-eki Kii-NagashimaManbo is Michi-no-eki where you can find all kinds of souvenirs from KihokuTown. Adjacent to the lawn area and Katakami Pond, it is perfect for refreshing yourself.
When you stop by, be sure to try our famous sunfish skewers!

③Mie Prefectural Kumano Kodo Center (OwaseCity)

 The prize you can get at the Kumano Kodo Center is one of the following: Ryoeimaru tuna ajillo, Ryoeimaru tuna simmered in pepper oil, or yellowtail radish♪

Canned food made with albacore tuna and yellowtail landed at Owase Port. Of course you can eat it as is, but it will be even more delicious if you warm it up. Add vegetables and heat to create a colorful dish. In addition to pasta, the menu expands depending on the arrangement.

The Kumano Kodo Center is a visitor center where you can deeply experience the Kumano Kodo and the area, nature, history and culture surrounding the Kodo.
We also hold experiential learning sessions that take advantage of the Kumano Kodo and the surrounding nature, as well as lectures on local history and culture, so it's a perfect spot to stop by!

Michi-no-eki “Kumano Hana-no-Iwaya” Otsuna Chaya (KumanoCity)

 The prizes you can get at Michi-no-eki “Kumano Hana-no-Iwaya” Otsuna Chaya are Niihime water and Niihime cider set♪

Niihime is a citrus fruit produced specifically KumanoCity. The fruit is around 3cm in diameter and has a strong sour taste and refreshing aroma similar to Sudachi or Shikuwasa. We are giving away a set of two types of drinks using Niihime.

Michi-no-eki ``Kumano Hana-no-Iwaya'' is located right next to Hana-no-Iwaya Shrine, which is said to be the oldest shrine in Japan. In order for visitors to Hana-no-Iwaya to have a relaxing stay, the facility has plenty of rest areas with verandas, etc., as well as food, merchandise sales, and information dissemination.

⑤Mihama Blues Café/Shichiri Mihama Tourist Information Center (MihamaTown)

 The prize you can get at Mihama Blues Café is a tangerine juice drinking comparison set♪

A comparison set of 3 types of standard and seasonal mandarin juices. You can purchase your favorite juice at the adjacent Park Shichiriomihama Yamihama Loco.

Mihama Blues Café is a cafe that just opened in the summer of 2021. The attached tourist information center has a wide selection of pamphlets and information on Kumano Kodo, etc. We also have bicycle rentals, so how about cycling while admiring ShichiriMihamaBeach?

Michi-no-eki“ KihochoUmigamePark” Product Center (KihoTown)

 The prizes you can get at Michi-no-eki" KihochoUmigamePark" product store are pouches of mandarin jelly and Meyer lemon candy♪

A refreshing lemon candy set in an original round pouch made with mandarin jelly made with luxurious mandarin pulp and Meyer lemons from KihoTown.

Michi-no-eki KihochoUmigamePark is the only Michi-no-eki in Japan that has a sea turtle aquarium. There is also a product sales corner and a snack corner, where you can enjoy local products such as sweets made with Meyer lemons.
