VISON, one of Japan's largest commercial resorts, opened in TakiTown on April 29th.

This time, we participated in a preview for the press of the 2nd phase area that will open from June 5th, so we will deliver the information to you as soon as possible!

The new opening this time is
①Mokuiku area
②Bonso area
Two areas.

We will introduce you to the charms of each area♪

① “Mokuiku Area”

“Kiond”, an experience facility themed around trees and forests, has opened in the wood education area!

There are workshops to make furniture and artwork from wood, forest activities such as making a bonfire, a kids' park filled with the scent of wood made from domestic wood, and a library cafe where you can freely read outdoor books and picture books. There are many ways to enjoy it.

In this interview, we were able to cover 4 workshops in addition to Kino Park (Kids Park) and a cafe, so please take a look!

kino park

``Kino Park'' is a warm playground filled with the scent of wood, and the area is symbolic of ``Mockingham,'' an impressive jungle gym that is integrated into the building.

Domestic cedar and Owase cypress are used in abundance for other play equipment, creating a space where children can play freely and foster their sensitivity and creativity.

Wooden spoon making experience

This is an experience of making a spoon from wood using a tool called a kezuriba.
Since it uses freshly cut soft wood, even beginners can easily make it.

There were also many other everyday tools made from wood on display, including chairs, pots, and rings. Why not try making your own tools that allow you to feel the warmth of wood?

Making an animal wood carving brooch

This is a workshop where you can make glue-sized animal wood carvings using chisels and chisels.

If you look at it close up, can you see the precision?
You can almost see their facial expressions, and you can't help but feel attached to them♪

Demonstration lecturer: Mio Hashimoto

Library Cafe

It's perfect for taking a break after the experience.
There is also a library cafe inside the "kiond" facility where you can enjoy coffee and reading!

It was like a small library, with about 1,500 specialty books and picture books about nature, such as trees, forests, and the outdoors.

The coffee is delivered in kiond's original blend using beans from "Sarutahiko Coffee" located in the Marche area!

Please enjoy reading slowly.

Owl Sculpture with a Chainsaw

From here, we will introduce the outdoor experience "Forest Activities".

In this area, activities are held where everyone from children to adults can have fun and learn about trees and forests. In addition to walking through the forest, you can also experience starting a bonfire for the first time, having a plank BBQ, and other experiences that awaken all five senses that you would never encounter in everyday life. You can touch it.

Children will have a blast seeing the cute dog carved with a chainsaw!

Although it may seem a little difficult for amateurs, this experience is actually possible.
Let's make a wonderful piece and take it home♪

Bonfire/plank BBQ

This brown object is not "toast?"
This is actually a “cedar board”!

``Plank BBQ'' is a new type of BBQ that uses naturally dried cedar wood to grill the whole board.

Look at this bright color!
Rather than BBQ, the result is more like oven-roasted.

Because the heat is transmitted through cedar boards rather than an open flame, moisture does not evaporate and the meat is extremely juicy. The faint scent of cedar and a little salt gave me my first taste.

① “Bonso Area”

At the ``Honso Area,'' which was realized through joint research between Mie University and Rohto Pharmaceutical, you can enjoy 72 types of medicinal herbal baths throughout the year, formulated based on VISON 's unique concept of ``Seventy-two Herbal Herbs.''

There are also other salons such as ``Wellness Salon by TEUZUSIKI'' where you can enjoy a world-class wellness menu, ``LeFuro'' where you can enjoy a mineral mist bath, and ``Honzo Research Institute RINNE'' where you can enjoy tea using real herbs. It's a healing area.

Now, I would like to introduce the shops in the "Honso Area"♪

Honsoyu (Honsoyu, shop, cafe)

This space, which looks like an art museum, is the Honsoyu shop.

Amenities such as original shampoo are on sale, with a focus on products from VISON 's proud chefs, such as Chef Tsujiguchi, Chef Kasahara, and Chef Okuda.

The waiting room was also full of comfort.

It's a space that makes you feel like you've really come to a bamboo forest, and you can relax even after taking a bath!

At Honzoyu, we offer ``Medicinal herbal bath'' developed in collaboration with Mie University and Rohto Pharmaceutical.

The herbal baths use seasonal medicinal herbs grown in and around the facility, and all are original blends.
You can enjoy 72 types of herbal baths that change every 5 days throughout the year.

In other words, you can enjoy hot water for the first time even if you come every week! That's why♪

Of course, there is also an open-air bath, a high-quality relaxing spot recommended by Vison Taki!
Please relax and heal your daily fatigue while enjoying the natural scenery of Taki.

After enjoying the special herbal hot water, detox with a mineral mist bath.

Le Furo's bathroom has a lower temperature (about 40℃) than a typical sauna. Surrounded by natural ores and mist minerals, refresh your body and mind♪

*I wasn't able to take photos this time because the bathroom was surrounded by mist, but it was a very soothing space. Please enjoy it there!

Original mineral water whose taste changes depending on the conditions was also provided.

As a result of trying it, it seems that I don't have enough iron, sodium, and potassium.
If we don't improve our consciousness...

Wellness Salon by TEUZUSIKI (relaxation, massage)

After your bath, head to Mallorca, Spain!
How about "Wellness Salon by TEUZUSIKI" produced by beauty artist Sally Suzuki?

In addition to a menu that uses all plants such as herbal head dhara, flowers, leaves, and roots to ease breathing, athlete techniques, and a release approach using Saly Beautism's fragrance, we use products based on the wisdom of Ayurveda and botany. This is a special space where a wellness menu is provided.

*What is Wellness?
A state in which both body and mind shine and are vibrant.

Kasaan pros and cons (Japanese cuisine)

``Kasaan Pros and Cons'' is a new restaurant run by Masahiro Kasahara, the owner of a Japanese restaurant that is famous for being difficult to get reservations for.

Soak in the hot springs, relax, and enjoy delicious Japanese food with your friends and family in this area surrounded by nature♪ Our motto is ``Archives, Tongues, and Playfulness'' and ``Not a barrier to entry.'' This is a Japanese restaurant.

The lunch menu includes Tai Chazuke Gozen (2,000 yen) and Kasian Omakase Gozen (3,500 yen).

The evening menu includes a special course (9,500 yen) and an omakase course (6,900 yen).

Recommended for those who want to enjoy a Visson-inspired lunch or dinner in a calm atmosphere.

In addition, standard menu items such as Ise red sea bream with sea bream chazuke (1,600 yen), children's meal (1,500 yen), and Sudachi soba (1,400 yen), which are controversial, are available to suit your budget.

Herb Research Institute (manufacturing facility/herb garden management)

The Honso Research Institute is re-researching ``Herbalism'', which originated in Mie Prefecture and aims to ``incorporate and condition the power of nature and plants into the body'', from a modern perspective and technology, and proposes various uses of seasonal medicinal herbs.

Please come and experience the results of this joint research between Mie University and Rohto Pharmaceutical.

rinne (shop/cafe)

A shop and cafe adjacent to the research institute that sells Japanese herbal tea, various household goods related to healthy living, soaps, cosmetics, and materials.
Herbalists, experienced farmers, and food-savvy staff will meet each customer's individual needs.

There is also a cafe with an organic and vegan theme, and an original Japanese herbal tea workshop will be held by plant therapist Nanae Suzuki!

How was that?
With the opening of the second phase, VISON has added new facilities for ``healing'' and ``play'', making it even more difficult to take your eyes off of it. The grand opening date of July 20th is just around the corner.

We are planning to go to cover the grand opening as soon as possible, so please look forward to the next report♪
