Ishigami Daiichi Hotel Kagura, which claims to have the most spectacular view in Ise-Shima, is full of attractions such as the Pacific Ocean and the stage of the first Godzilla movie!

If you heard the name Ijika and it clicked for you, maybe you're a monster fanatic? In fact, in the first Godzilla movie released in 1954, the place where Godzilla first landed was here in Ishikagami, TobaCity City, Mie Prefecture. This time, we have explored the various charms of Ishigami Daiichi Hotel Kagura, where you can still enjoy the same view of the coast that appeared in the movie. We have one of the best views in the Ise-Shima area, unique guest rooms, open-air baths, and food...we have it all!

ijikacho is located about 20 minutes by car from the center of TobaCity. After climbing up the hill (although by car), we arrived at Ishigami Daiichi Hotel Kagura!
Since it is probably the highest point in the Toba area, the word ``towering'' might be appropriate.
When I asked the staff, I was told that it was on the front floor of the hotel and was approximately 100m above sea level.

When you check in at the front desk and turn around, this is what catches your eye!
The windows in the lobby and lounge are almost a single pane of glass with no visible seams, allowing you to see the Pacific Ocean stretching out before your eyes. Moreover, since the altitude is high, there is almost no obstruction! We received a wonderful welcome.

First, let's introduce the characteristic guest rooms.

In the main building, there are 8 guest rooms called ``Nabura'' with hot spring open-air baths. Five of the rooms are unique. This is a designer guest room with an Asian taste concept, and is said to be the idea of the owner who loves Bali.

First of all, the names of the rooms are interesting! Satu, Dua, Tiga, Lima. They are all Indonesian number words, meaning 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, in order.

Here is the interior of Dua, a room with an ocean view on the sea side.

The bedroom has a wooden bed surrounded by rattan and bamboo interiors, reminiscent of a resort in Southeast Asia.

This folk art-like object is actually a hanger.
The living room facing the ocean has tatami flooring, making it a great place to relax.

The hot spring open-air bath is recessed from the outside wall, so it's safe even if it rains a little. While soaking in the hot water, you can gaze at the endless horizon.
By the way, what is that elephant-like thing above the sprue?

This is the Indian god Ganesha. Bali has a large Hindu population, so it's not surprising. By the way, this seems to be the owner's collection.
The washing area (shower booth) in the bath is indoors, so you can use it comfortably even in cold weather.

Rooms facing the mountain allow you to enjoy both ocean and forest views.

Oompa's bed with a canopy is truly luxurious. The Asian interior creates a resort feel, so it's no wonder it's popular among women.

The view from the terrace deck where the bath is located is also attractive. The green mountains make you feel calm. You can see the Pacific Ocean on your left, and the Jingu forest far on your right, giving you a refreshing feeling.

There is a small stone Buddha behind the spout of Oompa's bath.
This is not surprising since not only Hinduism but also Buddhism is practiced in Bali. By the way, this Buddha statue is also part of the owner's collection.

It's great if you as a group stay in a room facing the ocean and a room facing the mountain, and switch rooms every night so you can enjoy the charm of both.

The Western-style room with an open-air hot spring bath, which was just built last year on the third floor of the main building, has a soft-touch ceramic bathtub. The hot springs that gush out 24 hours a day are from Sakakibara Onsen, a hot spring that is gentle on the body and beautiful for the skin. You can polish up your feminine side (or men's polish) whenever you feel like it.

This is what the inside of the room looks like.

A simple and calming space, with gentle indirect lighting and the texture of wood. It seems like it will gently soothe your daytime fatigue.

I came to the east building where all rooms have ocean views.
The 7th floor is the highest point in the hotel. The spectacular view from approximately 130m above sea level will get you excited!

The corner room closest to the sea is a special room. Its name is “Tenjo”!
It's a twin bed room + 12.5 tatami Japanese-style room, and can accommodate up to 8 people, so you can think of a variety of ways to use it, such as for families or group trips.

In your bedroom, you'll feel like you're surrounded by the ocean. The morning sun rising over the Pacific Ocean shines divinely!

And this is a spectacular view that is irresistible for “enthusiasts”! This is the coastline shown in the scene where the first Godzilla returns to the sea.

Even now, it looks almost the same as it did back then (nearly 70 years ago).

The view from the Langit Terrace, a lounge with a spectacular view, has been set up so that you can enjoy the magnificent view. The view is truly that of the divine sky.
Langit means "sky, starry sky, heaven" in Indonesian, and it is a terrace for admiring the starry sky.
It has a very open feel, so customers from overseas can be seen reading books all day long, and some people even propose here at night when the atmosphere is romantic.

Not only the open-air bath, but also all the indoor baths have ocean views, making this one of Toba's most elevated hotels.
Both the open-air baths ``Kibou no Yu'' and ``Yume no Yu'' have roofs, so you can enjoy them without worrying about the weather. The jacuzzi at ``Yume no Yu'' is so comfortable that you'll almost forget the time.

The private baths ``Nagomi no Yu'' and ``Kizuna no Yu (Jacuzzi)'', open-air baths, large communal baths, and guest rooms with hot spring open-air baths all use hot water sourced from Sakakibara Onsen.
The spring quality is simple alkaline hot spring. It is famous as a beautifying hot spring that makes your skin smooth, but it also has various benefits for rheumatism, musculoskeletal disorders, neurosis, and recovery from fatigue. It would be nice to have a hot spring treatment at a hotel with a spectacular view by the sea.

The long-awaited meal is impressive to look at and thrilling to eat! This is a creative dish created by the head chef.
The carefully selected ingredients are freshly caught seafood. You can be sure that the proprietress will carefully select the seasonal ingredients caught at Ishigami Fishing Port, which can be seen right from the hotel.

Dinner and breakfast (buffet) are both served at the dining room ``Hanon'', but if you stay in the east building, it is also possible to order meals in your room. If you are traveling with children or are concerned about coming into contact with other guests, we recommend the east wing.

Strangely, there were chairs facing the ocean next to the dining room's large window.
``We hold the ``Asahi Viewing'' here,'' explained Kazunobu Okazawa, the manager. "Many people watch the sunrise, feed the black kites, and then head out for breakfast."

? ? ? What does it mean to feed a dragonfly?

``Every morning at 7:10 a.m., when we lift up sashimi from the third-floor terrace where the ``Kizuna no Bell'' is located, the black kites fly and skillfully catch them. 20 to 30 of them gather together. Everyone, even adults, is excited and happy," says Okazawa.
Apparently, this is the purpose of some people. ``Many of our inbound customers found out about Tombi when they checked in, asking, ``Where's Tombi?'' Afterwards, they said, ``Sunrise, sunrise!'' There are more and more people saying that."

I'm going to explain it in reverse order, but the ``Kizuna no Bell'' is a bell that brings happiness and deepens the bonds with family, friends, and loved ones when you ring it. The terrace where this bell is located is also a sunrise spot.
Beyond the bell, you can see Kamishima, the setting of Yukio Mishima's novel "Sound of the Sea," and on a clear day, you can even see Mt. Fuji! The spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean isn't just about the ocean!
