Advanced infectious disease control measures that support safe and secure bus transportation

A disinfectant containing antibacterial and antiviral ingredients is carefully sprayed inside the bus.

Mie Kotsu operates route and sightseeing buses for local residents and tourists, mainly in Mie Prefecture.
Advanced infectious disease prevention measures have been introduced to ensure that buses, which are essential for daily life and sightseeing, can be used more safely and with peace of mind even during the coronavirus pandemic.

In December 2020, antibacterial and antiviral treatment was completed on all vehicles (1,099 vehicles) owned and operated by four Mie Kotsu Group companies. There are few bus companies in Japan that have completed antibacterial and antiviral treatment on all of their vehicles, so by using Mie Kotsu's buses, you can enjoy sightseeing safely and with peace of mind.

Glass coating has been applied to areas touched by passengers, and its antibacterial and antiviral effects last for approximately five years.

In addition to disinfecting the areas that passengers touch inside the vehicle (handrails, elbow rests, etc.), we applied a glass coating with antibacterial and antiviral ingredients. It uses safe Japanese-made drugs that meet the safety standards of the SIAA (Association for Antibacterial Products Technology), and is said to maintain its antibacterial and antiviral effects for approximately five years.

Of course, regular disinfection and cleaning are also carried out every day, so you can use the bus with confidence even under the coronavirus pandemic.

Ventilation is carried out while maintaining a comfortable room temperature even in the middle of summer or winter, and the air is replaced in a short time.

Furthermore, ventilation measures are in place.
The inside of the bus is also equipped with an air conditioner that introduces fresh air, and all the air inside the bus is replaced in about three minutes. In addition, various measures against infectious diseases are being implemented company-wide, such as having crew members wear masks and having their temperatures taken when they come to work.

Stress-free bus transportation/Take the Shinto LINER to avoid the 3Cs and visit Ise

Shinto LINER runs from IseCity Station to Geku to Naiku. The long vehicle and two-tone green and white color are landmarks.

In addition to advanced infectious disease control measures, Mie Kotsu is also actively working on stress-free services.

IseJingu is visited by many worshipers from all over the country.
When visiting Ise-san, it has been a long-standing custom to visit Geku first and then Naiku first.

Starting from the nearest station, JR/Kintetsu IseCity Station, Mie Kotsu's route bus runs from Geku to Naiku. Because many worshipers visit Ise Jingu during the year-end and New Year holidays and long holidays, a new articulated bus called "Shinto LINER" has been introduced to make visiting IseJingu more comfortable.

Shinto LINER has significantly improved transportation capacity by connecting two vehicle bodies.
It started pre-service in December 2020 and operates as a temporary service between IseCity in front of the station and Geku in front of Naiku mainly on busy days, offering its outstanding transportation capacity to ease congestion and provide passengers with a comfortable and spacious space.

It can accommodate 113 people, 1.6 times more than a regular route bus, and avoids the Three Cs.

The origin of the name Jinto LINER is ``Shinto'', which is reminiscent of the town near the shrine, and ``LINER'', which refers to express service.
As a special vehicle that connects IseJingu 's Naiku and Geku, the shrine's forest and sacredness are expressed in two-tone green and white colors, and the pure flow of the Isuzu River, which purifies your mouth and hands, is expressed in a dot pattern on the inner door.

Currently, it operates only on busy days, but from April 2021, regular service is scheduled to begin, mainly during daytime hours when there are many worshipers.

In November 2020, the bus location system ``Bus-vision'' was launched.

Route buses may have difficulty running on time due to road congestion, etc., but with Bus-vision, you can easily check where the next bus is, including the type of vehicle, using your smartphone.
No registration is required, and it can be easily accessed from a smartphone, mobile phone, or computer. By using Bus-vision, you can enjoy your visit to Ise even more in the limited time you have by taking a short detour to a souvenir shop in Oharai-Machi while waiting for the bus.

Mie Kotsu is one step ahead in the industry, evolving its services every day to provide safe and comfortable bus transportation. Although it is convenient to use a private car for sightseeing in Mie, you can also enjoy sightseeing spots safely and comfortably by bus.
