Adako Town, located south of Toba, is a town of ama divers and fishermen who have a thriving fishing industry on the north side of Matoya Bay. In fact, in this town you can enjoy good old-fashioned guesthouses, fresh seafood caught in Matoya Bay, and new sea activities such as kayaking and SUP! I was able to experience it as a family!

This time I would like to mainly introduce the activities.
The first thing that catches your eye when you arrive at Adako-cho, a town on the shores of a calm cove, is the painting of an octopus painted on the embankment. It is said to be a picture drawn with paint by local elementary school students.

The sea in front of adakocho is an inland sea, so the waves are calm and the location is perfect, making it perfect for sea activities.
This is a sea kayaking experience.
The person who will teach you is Sunny Coast Kayaks.
You can rest assured that the instructor will carefully teach you how to ride, row, and advance in advance. Basic operations are very easy!
After receiving the lecture, it's time to leave!
Kayaks are for two people, so both parents and children or couples can enjoy them together.

This is a SUP experience.
Is it difficult to hear SUP? You might think that, but don't worry, even if it's your first time, the instructor will teach you carefully and in a fun way!
First, put on your life jacket and adjust your paddle.
The person who will be teaching us this time is an instructor from Verde Odai Tourism.
First of all, what is SUP? Starting with this, we learned a lot about the appeal of SUP, including the characteristics of the board, how to ride it, and how to balance it!
The children were excited about their first SUP experience.
If you are participating as a parent and child, you can ride with your child by placing them in front of you.
At first, you sit down and row to the shore.
After rowing for a while, I got used to it!
``Once you get used to it, let's stand up!'' says the instructor.
It was more stable than I expected, and I was able to stand up without falling into the sea!
Take a leisurely walk on the sea for about an hour ♪
It's great that the whole family can participate and have fun in various ways, such as standing or sitting, at their own pace!

In the evening, we enjoyed plenty of seafood caught in Matoya Bay right in front of us.
As the name suggests, Kamatako-cho is a town famous for its adakocho.
Lots of fresh fish, including octopus rice! Is it okay to be this luxurious? You'll be surprised at how much hospitality you can expect from a fishing town, filling both your stomach and soul.

The next day, we started fishing experience!
The area along the embankment of adakocho is also a popular fishing spot!
Now, who can catch the most fish?
On this day, we caught a wrasse and a nice cold mullet with a body length of about 30 cm!
It seems that you can catch a variety of other fish depending on the season, such as horse mackerel and chinook, so whether you're a fishing enthusiast or a first-timer, why not enjoy fishing in adakocho?
