掲載日:2020.11.30

Kabutonomori Terrace is a campsite surrounded by mountains and rivers at the headwaters of the Suzuka River, surrounded by nature. In addition to camping, ``Local Fitness'' is popular here, where you can experience outdoor activities such as forest yoga and cycling. Good for your health and refreshes your mind and body! I experienced it right away!

Approximately 2 minutes from the Minamizaike Interchange on the Meihan National Highway. I came to Kabutonomori Terrace, a campground in KameyamaCity surrounded by nature.

There are three types of campsites within the facility, including an auto campsite, a free site on the lawn, and a free site in the forest, and there are six cottages of various sizes. It is easily accessible from the Meihan National Highway, and is a popular campground for campers and families as it allows you to have plenty of fun in nature.
Currently, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, we are operating our business while taking thorough measures such as setting up tents at least 2 meters apart, ventilating the administration building and shower rooms, and regularly disinfecting with alcohol. I am.

“Local fitness” is currently popular at Kabutonomori Terrace.
We have a lot of menus that you can enjoy together with camping♪

*Local fitness is a method of resting by actively moving your body through fitness and activities to help recover from fatigue, rather than taking a complete rest.

Based on Kabuto no Mori Terrace, you can enjoy fitness activities such as yoga, road bike rental, trekking, etc. that take advantage of the best field surrounded by mountains and rivers.

First, let's try forest yoga!
This is a recommended activity for the morning of the first or second day of camping.
The person who teaches us is Maiko, who is usually a Kabutonomori Terrace staff member and a yoga instructor. We will head to the yoga spot inside the campsite with Maiko, who knows everything about the charms of this forest!

First time doing yoga! Don't worry if you say so! The clothes you wear when camping are comfortable and easy to move in! If you don't have a yoga mat, you can borrow one, so even first-timers can easily participate.

First, we will start with warm-up stretching exercises and then try various poses.

However, it is very quiet in the forest!
A comfortable space where you can hear the sound of the river and are surrounded by a dignified atmosphere.
Your body will continue to grow.

Yoga is based on deep breathing.
Breathing slowly and deeply in the forest, which is full of negative ions, is expected to have a variety of effects, including relaxing your body, relieving fatigue, and improving your health.

After about an hour of doing various poses, my body started to feel warm.
Thanks to the detailed instructions, I was able to do some difficult poses perfectly!

*If you would like to experience forest yoga, please note that you will need to make a reservation when making your camping reservation.

Next, let's rent a road bike and explore the area!
You can enjoy leisurely pottering around while sightseeing, or go over a serious up-and-down course to the sea and soak in a hot spring, all in a great location.

If you want to know the recommended course, check this MAP posted at the reception desk! It is nice to know which course is suitable for different purposes and levels, such as Sekijuku and Turtle Island Castle Ruins Sightseeing Leisurely Course (approx. 34km) for beginners, Shakujoko Round Trip Course (approx. 45km) for beginners to intermediate level, and AoyamaPlateau Round Trip Course (approx. 80km) for advanced level!
Of course, you can walk around freely!
This time, let's take a leisurely cycle to Sekijuku ♪

Running through a road surrounded by nature...

When I find a place with nice colors, I stop and take a break...

The autumn leaves were also very beautiful on this day!

After rowing for about an hour while admiring the scenery... we arrived at our destination, Sekijuku!
Sekijuku once prospered as the 47th post town on the 53 stations Tokaido, and the townscape still retains the atmosphere of that time... We recommend taking a stroll through the landscape lined with old townhouses.

For more information about Sekijuku, please Sekijuku special website!

There are many attractive courses, so if you are not sure where to go, please ask the staff for a recommended course!
You can also rent a bike for 1 hour, 3 hours, or 6 hours depending on your destination.

rental bike
700 yen for 1 hour, 2,000 yen for 3 hours, 3,500 yen for 6 hours (includes helmet and key)
*Advance reservation required

This time I interviewed a local fitness center in Kabuto no Mori.
The reason why Kabutonomori Terrace focused on local fitness was because we wanted to revitalize the region and the mountains in the area.
``We want the campers who visit to enjoy camping and fitness at the same time by spending the night in the nature of a village forest, away from their daily lives, and using this place as a starting point to try out various fitness activities.'' Manager Mori-san.
At Kabutonomori Terrace, which is run with this in mind, you can rejuvenate your mind and body! Why not spend a refreshing holiday?
