Selected as one of the ``100 Best Waters of the Heisei Era'' and ``100 Best Waterfalls in Japan,'' ``Akame TheAkame48Falls'' is a popular spot where you can enjoy nature in a variety of ways, including hiking and strolling. On this trip, we enjoyed a "gourmet walk" at TheAkame48Falls and the surrounding area♪

NabariCity is located in the Iga region in the midwestern part of Mie Prefecture.
This town is full of charm, including rich nature such as the `` TheAkame48Falls'', a historic townscape, and a variety of local gourmet foods. This time, we will take a walk around NabariCity. The starting point for your trip is NabariCity Tourism Association Station Information Center, located near Kintetsu Nabari Station. I'm excited to see what kind of trip it will be!

After about 20 minutes of driving, we arrived at the area around TheAkame48Falls. I decided to have an early lunch so that I could fill my stomach before heading out.
We headed to Dainichiya, which is located near the entrance to TheAkame48Falls and is famous for its Iga beef soup.

The interior design is attractive and allows you to enjoy the outside scenery from inside the store. There is also terrace seating, so we recommend eating in the delicious atmosphere.

I ordered the popular menu "Iga beef soup gozen" (1,250 yen (tax included)).
``Beef soup'' is a Japanese-style soy sauce soup made with flavorful Iga beef and locally grown vegetables. Although it originated as a side dish, Iga beef is used in a luxurious way. It has a light yet rich taste, so it's no wonder it's so popular.

As I was walking towards TheAkame48Falls, I saw the words "HekokiManju".
Attracted by the sweet scent, I stopped by Tamakiya.

` HekokiManju'' is a Japanese-style sweet made with plenty of sweet potatoes.
At the store, the proprietress carefully makes each piece one by one. One of the best parts of traveling is interacting with the local people. The bright and kind personality of the proprietress makes me feel at ease.

"HekokiManju" is also famous for its ninja shape.
There is a wide range of varieties, including the ``Original HekokiManju'' (180 yen (tax included) each) made only with sweet potato dough, as well as those with grained bean paste and cream. The soothing sweetness will soothe the fatigue of your journey.

We arrived at the ``Akame 48 Falls TheAkame48Falls Hoshokai (Japanese Salamander Center)'' located at the entrance of Akame 48 TheAkame48Falls.
Local mascots ``San-chan'' and ``Takki'' welcome you.
The staff's courteous service naturally makes you feel good.

After passing through the interior of the Japan Salamander Center, you will arrive at the entrance to the walking route to TheAkame48Falls. It is located upstream of the Takigawa River, which flows on the former border between Iga and Yamato, and is approximately 4km long. I would like to enjoy a walk in nature!

Because of its beautiful valley, clear water, and clear air, it has been selected as one of the ``100 Best Waters of the Heisei Era'' and ``100 Best Forests for Forest Bathing.'' The beauty of the scenery created by autumn leaves and waterfalls is overwhelming!

The promenade is well maintained, so it is safe for children, women, and the elderly. No matter where you walk, the scenery continues to refresh your soul.

“Autumn leaves illumination” is popular during the fall season.
The lights that change in seven colors create an even more fantastical atmosphere in the valley. Perfect for an adult date!

After enjoying the `` TheAkame48Falls'' at a leisurely pace, we headed to today's inn, ``Iga Hidden Inn Yumoto Akame Onsen Hidden Yu Taisenkaku''.
I'm also happy that it's in a good location, just a 3 minute walk away.

The luxurious entrance reminds you of a good old Japanese inn. It's a space where you can feel the commitment throughout.

One of the fun things about this trip was going to Akame Onsen.
This simple alkaline hot spring springs from 1,000 meters underground, and is known for its beautiful skin properties. A relaxing moment in a perfect location is truly bliss!

For dinner, enjoy a monthly kaiseki meal featuring plenty of Iga delicacies, such as Mie brand Iga beef and seasonal wild vegetables. All of the menu items that make use of the best ingredients are exquisite. Taisenkaku 's specialty, custom-made dish ``Iga beef toro sushi'' is a masterpiece that can only be tasted here, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and flavor.

Before checking out the next day, we took a break at the coffee shop ``Kawasukeido'' next to the lobby.
A stylish space modeled after a hearth.
