Enjoy ramen packed with the flavor of chicken and colorful tempura at Toridoki and Tenshun ToinTown.

``Toridoki'' is a restaurant that is popular for its ramen that is packed with the flavor of chicken. There are two types of ramen: a light salt soup and a punchy spicy miso soup, both of which will fill your mouth with the natural flavor of chicken. The other restaurant, Tenshun, is, as the name suggests, an old folk restaurant where you can enjoy tempura and teppanyaki dishes made with seasonal ingredients. I would like to enjoy a new taste of ToinTown at these two shops with different charms!

ToinTown where the nature-rich Inabe River flows through the center of the town, making it the perfect place to spend a leisurely holiday. It takes about 40 minutes by car from Nagoya, so transportation is convenient! I heard a rumor that there is a popular new gourmet food in such a town, so I would like to go there right away.
First, we went to a restaurant where you can eat a new type of ramen. Toridoki is located next to the popular yakiniku restaurant Ichi-un, and is celebrating its third year in business this year.

The inside of the store is clean and has an atmosphere that makes it easy to enter.
``Toridoki'' is the result of the long-held dream of the owner of Yakiniku restaurant ``Ichi-un'' to open a ramen shop next door, and the chef is the owner's apprentice. Mr. Kumano of Mr. Kumano is doing it.

The interior of the store is modern and doesn't look like a ramen shop in a good way! I can see why so many solo female customers come here.

From the counter, you can see the open kitchen. It's great to see the manager Kumano-san's skill!

There are two types of ramen at "Tori Gyo": "Shirodoki" (700 yen/tax included), which has a light salt soup, and "Akadoki" (800 yen/tax included), which has a punchy spicy miso soup. kinds. Both bring out the maximum flavor of the chicken. This time, I ordered ``Hakugyo'', which has a beautiful pure white soup.

The mellow soup mixes well with the curly noodles for an addictive taste! Having learned from a master who studied French, the soup Kumano makes has a creamy flavor that makes it feel like French cuisine, even though it is ramen.

For those who like spicy food, we recommend the spicy soup ``Akaakatsuki.'' Homemade chili oil and minced chicken add an impact to the taste, and the more you eat, the more your appetite grows!

And this is Mr. Kumano's homemade chili oil made with great care.
Add it to your liking to make the ramen even more flavorful!
``Green Chili Oil'' (photo left) is used for ``Bai Xiao'' and ``red chili pepper oil'' (photo right) is used for ``Red Xiao Xiao'', giving depth to the flavor of the soup.

Those who dine in will receive a complimentary coffee service (takeout only).
After eating delicious ramen, drink coffee and take a break. It's a blissful time♪

Inheriting the owner's passion for ramen, Mr. Kumano creates special dishes that can only be found at Tori Gyo. In response to customer requests, the restaurant has started selling ramen sets to take home, and it seems that the restaurant's appeal will continue to spread due to its service spirit.

Next, I visited Tenshun, a tempura teppanyaki restaurant. It's close to the Toin Interchange on the Tokai Kanjo Expressway, so access is good! At first glance, it looks like a private house, so if you don't check the sign carefully, you might pass by.

When you enter the store, there are white curtains! You can see the counter seats on the other side. I'm excited to see what the interior looks like...

oh! It's amazing to find such a nice counter seat inside an old private house.
The tempura is prepared in front of you and served one after another in the order it was fried. At the end, you can enjoy either meat or seafood dishes depending on the course you order.

The interior design brings out the atmosphere and creates a luxurious time. Highly artistic decorations can be seen throughout the store, and you can feel the Japanese atmosphere in each piece.

The tempura is placed on your plate in the order it is fried. The freshly fried batter is crispy and the shrimp are plump and have the best texture!
The exquisite fried quality is truly a masterpiece of craftsmanship!

Enjoying a meal while enjoying a chat with the cheerful manager will give you a warm and relaxing feeling.

At the end of the course, you can enjoy teppanyaki dishes such as meat dishes and seafood dishes.
Come to think of it, even though it's a tempura restaurant, why do they end the course with teppanyaki?
When I asked the manager about this, he said, ``If the course is just tempura all the way to the end, the customers won't be able to enjoy it, right?'' The store manager's playful side makes me sick.

This restaurant basically requires reservations, and serves food to customers in the morning session (*two shifts in the morning from 11:30 to 13:00) and the afternoon session.
However, even if you do not have a reservation, you can enter the store if there is a reservation available on the day. In that case, customers with reservations will have priority and will have to wait in this waiting room until a seat becomes available.

There is another waiting room at the back of the room with the hearth!
The owner painted the walls himself to create an atmosphere that matches the store's image. Their commitment to things other than cooking is amazing!

A truly hidden gem restaurant. At night, the shop is lit up and takes on an even more sophisticated Japanese atmosphere. We were able to enjoy a relaxing and delicious meal in the Japanese atmosphere of a renovated old folk house!

Ramen with a new sensation and tempura dishes with the ultimate in simplicity. Gourmet foods have completely different charms, but they are all the same in that they make people feel happy. I want many people to experience this feeling of happiness!
