La Palme d'Or's Petit Chateau is located in Anotsudai, Tsu City, TsuCity Prefecture, close to Nakasei Green Park, which is crowded with families on weekends. The beautiful green lawn and the white and blue building design make it look like a European resort.

The trajectory of La Palme d'Or

Patisserie La Palme d'Or has its origins in a restaurant opened in TsuCity in 2001 by Grand Chef Masashi Goto.

Chef Goto Grand was born in his hometown TsuCity, and after training at top restaurants and hotels both domestically and internationally, he opened the French restaurant La Palme d'Or in the suburbs TsuCity in April 2001. It has gained the support of many fans for its uncompromising, authentic taste.

In 2015, we opened "Castle and Forest Wedding Chateau La Palme d'Or" in Anotsudai TsuCity. This restaurant has a reputation as one of the prefecture's most authentic French restaurants with a dress code.

Then, on February 1, 2019, we opened Petit Chateau, which has a patisserie with a dessert buffet and a boulangerie with freshly baked breads, next to the chateau.

Be moved by the irreplaceable “once”

La Palme d'Or offers visitors an irreplaceable time and food experience under the name "ONCE PROJECT."

I go to the boulangerie (bakery) once a week to spend time together with my family, go to the patisserie & dessert buffet once a month to have fun with friends, and go to the restaurant once a year. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, so you can spend an irreplaceable time with your loved one.

It conveys our desire for you to spend time at a turning point in your life.

à la minute (freshly made)

La Palme d'Or's cakes have a distinctive rectangular shape and are beautiful to look at. It is designed to be eaten in a 1:1:1 ratio of fresh cream, sponge, and fruit, and this shape seems to have been created out of the desire for customers to enjoy the best taste no matter where they cut it.

At the dessert buffet attached to the patisserie, cakes based on each month's concept will be featured each month. In addition to cakes, you can enjoy sweets such as tarts, ice cream, and muffins, as well as baked goods such as pies on weekdays, and more than 10 types of freshly baked bread on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The bell that alerts you when the food is done baking also adds to the glamorous atmosphere. Also, according to Mr. Hirano, who is in charge of public relations, if you're lucky, you might even be able to try some unsold products that are currently being prototyped.

The concept of the dessert buffet is "à la minute." We are particular about the taste of freshly made muffins, such as serving them directly from a tray. The dessert buffet is said to be popular with female groups and moms' groups on weekdays, and with families on weekends.

A new challenge: “Tsunomori Chocolat” and “Tsunomori Cheese”

February 1, 2019 Opening of Petit Chateau and Patisserie La Palme d'Or's latest products "Tsunomori Chocolat" and "Tsunomori Cheese" are new challenges that are not in Palme d'Or's previous product concepts. This is an ambitious work filled with many things.

Tsunomori Chocolat and Tsunomori Cheese took several years from conception to completion, and one year from prototyping to completion. We spoke to Mr. Fuse, the patisserie chef and pastry chef who was in charge of the development.

Family gathering time. Sweets beside it

He has won awards at various Western confectionery technical competitions, including winning the 5th Nouvelle Patisserie du Japon Technical Contest and the 1st Asian Top of Pastry Chef in Asia Practical Contest. Fuse chef pastry chef.

``Tsunomori Chocolat'' and ``Tsunomori Cheese'' are filled with the thoughts of Mr. Fuse, who was a grandmother's child, ``I want them to be used as sweets to accompany family gatherings.''

Unlike restaurants that have dress codes and age restrictions, we sell our products at a more reasonable price range than conventional products because we want people of all ages, from small children to the elderly, to enjoy our products.

However, just because it is reasonably priced does not mean that there is any compromise in quality. Inheriting Palme d'Or's philosophy of ``providing cakes and sweets that make people happy based on the concepts of ``appeal,'' ``taste,'' and ``charm,'' our products are made using carefully selected ingredients and meticulous manufacturing methods. .

The white bean paste inside is made with carefully selected kidney beans and milk. The chocolate and cheese carefully selected by chef pastry chef Mr. Fuse are kneaded into it.

The dough is made of sponge to suit the tastes of Japanese people who love castella. Made using a unique manufacturing method to create a thin-skinned fabric.

Coexistence of newness and nostalgia

Try it right away. When you open the envelope, a moist and elegant sweet will appear. The uniquely made thin dough has a pleasant texture that melts in your mouth. The filling inside is a perfect combination of gentle milk flavor, cheese, and chocolate scent. I can't help but reach for more than one.

The thoughts of Chef Goto Grand

Chef Goto Grand has continued to take on various challenges since opening his French restaurant. The source of his desire to take on challenges is his love for his hometown of Mie and Tsu.

We operate a restaurant, patisserie, and boulangerie in TsuCity, the cultural center of Mie Prefecture, with a passion to contribute to raising the level of food culture.

The newly developed "Tsunomori Chocolat" and "Tsunomori Cheese" were born as an opportunity to convey La Palme d'Or's passion to many people. Everyone, please try it at least once.
