A ryokan that has grown in history along with kachiji

`` TheAkame48Falls'' is a deep mountain valley created by deep forests and quietly flowing waterfalls. It was once the place where Iga-ryu ninja trained. The approximately 4 km long promenade connects many waterfalls, and the vivid scenery of each season is so beautiful that you will forget time.

The inn located about 3 minutes walk from this kachiji is ``Iga Hidden Inn Yumoto Akame Onsen Hidden Yu Taisenkaku''. The attraction is the hot springs where you can feel the change of the four seasons in the valley, as well as the cuisine where you can enjoy the delicacies of Iga.
Founded in the early Meiji period, this inn began its long history as a teahouse.

The lobby has an elegant Japanese feel with calligraphy and bonsai.
The space has a stately yet calm atmosphere.

Kasukeido is a coffee shop next to the lobby that resembles an irori hearth.

You can order a variety of drinks and relax while looking out at the nature outside.

“Proud cuisine” that combines traditional techniques and flavors with a sense of fun

A special feature of Taisenkaku is its cuisine, which includes Iga beef, sweetfish from the Nabari River, wild vegetables from the satoyama, and other "delicacies of Iga.
``Iga's monthly seasonal Kaiseki'' has a different taste depending on the season, and you can enjoy the flavors that make use of seasonal ingredients.

At the ``Mie Brand Iga Beef Kaiseki with Stone-grilled Steak'', you can enjoy Iga beef with thin marbling on the lean meat, stone-grilled style.
The heat is distributed evenly and the flavor is locked in, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine through.

*“Stone-grilled steak” can also be ordered separately.

The specially ordered dish ``Iga beef toro sushi'' is a specialty of this inn and is very popular.
The texture is like it melts in your mouth! When dipped in a special sauce and eaten with green onions and ginger, it is simply the best.

Another recommended dish is Taisenkaku original dish ``Ninjutsu Nabe,'' which is a modern take on the hot pot that was eaten by ninjas who trained in Akame Valley to build their physical strength.

We use seasonal ingredients such as Iga beef, Iga Sanroku pork, young chicken, and wild boar meat, as well as a variety of vegetables from Satoyama. By eating it with numerous sauces, the taste changes in your mouth, just like a ninja technique.
The real pleasure of traveling is enjoying the unique local cuisine!

The ``local sake'' you can enjoy with your meal is from a high-quality sake brewery that was also provided at IseShimaSummit.
Sake born from a land blessed with clear water has a unique aroma and strong quality, and has a unique character that sets it apart from other types of alcohol.
If you like Japanese sake, these are the sakes you should try at least once.

There are two dining venues, this one being ``Irori Chaya Goemon-tei''.
You can dine while looking out at the garden with a waterfall flowing through it, and the menu is extensive, including ``Amiyaki cuisine'' and ``Ninjutsu hot pot'' made with ingredients from the mountains and the sea.

Breakfast is nutritionally balanced and looks gorgeous.
The menu includes items such as ``Miso soup with seaweed from Ise-Shima'' and Nabari's local dish ``Noppe'' (a stew in soy sauce stock with plenty of root vegetables) that will wake you up and be gentle on your body.

The breakfast venue is TAKI-NOBE, a mountain restaurant that reopened in April 2018.
I was very satisfied to be able to enjoy a delicious Iga breakfast at a stylish restaurant.

The guest rooms in the new building are uniquely designed!

There are three buildings: "Komorebi-no-Yakata - Komorebi", a new building overlooking the Akame Valley and garden, "Honkan" with its traditional structure, and "Fu-in-no-Yakata - Fu-in", where you can enjoy amiyaki cuisine. Taisenkaku
Each of the guest rooms has its own individuality, but the rooms in "Komorebi no Yakata" are especially worth seeing. The ``guest room with hori kotatsu'' is designed so that you can relax by the window.

The ``Rooms with Irori Hearths'' at ``Komorebi no Yakata'' have a nostalgic feel, and you can feel the warmth of the heartwarming countryside.

“Home source” where legend has it that ninjas healed their fatigue

Akame Onsen is said to have been a place where Iga-ryu ninjas once took a break from their training to relieve their fatigue.
This simple alkaline hot spring springs from deep underground, and is highly effective for beautifying the skin. Hanzo no Yu, an open-air bath for men, has a roof, but you can relax and look at the sky, and it's fun to enjoy the starry sky at night!

At Kagerou no Yu, an open-air bath exclusively for women, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains in front of you. Soaking in hot water in the clear air is special!

There are two types of large public baths, one for men and one for men each day, and they are made from locally grown cedar, and the pleasant scent and warmth of the wood will envelop your body. ``Jonin-no-Yu'' (photo above) has a bubble bath, and ``Kunoichi-no-Yu'' (photo below) has a cascading bath.
