A “mountain inn” where you can feel history and tradition

The high-quality hot springs are known as ``beauty hot springs,'' and the location is full of nature. You can fully experience the charm of Yunoyama Onsen at the long-established inn, Kotobuki Tei.
Since its founding in 1902, we have been covering the appeal of this ryokan, which has incorporated new innovations while preserving the traditions and culture that have been passed down from generation to generation.

This is the exterior. You can feel the dignity and weight of history.

A carefully maintained Japanese garden welcomes guests upon arrival.
It shows various expressions depending on the viewing angle.

No matter which angle you look at it, you'll see a quaint landscape befitting a long-established inn.

The lobby is warmly lit and gently envelops the space.
The classic tables and chairs are also stylish.

6 types of “private baths” with different personalities

One of the attractions of Kotobuki Tei is that there are six types of ``private baths'' where you can enjoy a luxurious time without being disturbed.
Rinsenkaku, a private bathhouse completed in July 2017, has three types of baths: Bojo, Shosen, and Hozan. There is a bath.

The ``Bojo'' in the photo is a place where you can soak in the hot water while enjoying the scenery of the four seasons, and it is also accessible to people in wheelchairs.

``Shosen,'' where you can step out on the deck and feel the clear air, and ``Hozan,'' which has ample space and is perfect for families to enjoy.
The structure also gives off a nostalgic feel.

In the ``after-bath area'' of ``Rinsenkaku,'' indirect lighting creates a Japanese atmosphere.
A comfortable space that makes you want to stay for a long time.

Keiseikaku, a private bath house built in the early Showa period, has three types of baths that retain the atmosphere of the time.
The photo shows "Hinorise" made of cypress. There is also ``Juraku,'' which has a ceramic bathtub, and ``Tsurukame,'' which is spacious and is said to attract many regular customers who take baths from time to time.

When you take a "private bath", you feel like you are being embraced by the magnificent nature of Mt.Gozaisho!
I'm happy that you had a relaxing time.

A “guest room” perfect for an adult holiday

There are two ``special rooms'' with a family bath.
This room is perfect for spending an elegant holiday with your loved ones.

The room overlooks the Suzuka Mountains and the city of Yokkaichi.
I realized once again how great the location is!

Even from the ``standard guest rooms,'' you can feel the high quality that only a long-established store can provide.
The view is GOOD from every room!

We offer creative dishes!

When I travel, I want to enjoy the local ingredients!
A popular menu that can be enjoyed in your room is the ``Komono pork wine shabu-shabu.'' Shabu-shabu with local brand pork in a wine pot brings out the flavor of the meat.

We also recommend the "Mie Brand Beef Tasting Comparison" menu where you can taste Matsusaka beef, Iga beef, and Mie Nabe beef all at once!
It's a luxury to be able to taste three Mie brand beefs at once! This is a dish you should definitely try.

The ``Breakfast Venue'' offers a view of the `` GozaishoRopeway'' that goes back and forth nearby.

Breakfast is buffet style. We are proud of our menu that makes use of local ingredients, and there will also be a demonstration of how to make dashimaki eggs.

Suiunkaku, an annex loved by the imperial family and literary figures

The annex, Suiunkaku, built in 1927, still conveys the weight of Kotobuki Tei's history.

The floor plan adopted the modern architectural methods of the time, and features features such as the Kato-mado (window with a pointed arch at the top of the window frame) built to the same dimensions as Ishiyama-dera Temple in Shiga. It has an unusual structure.
In 2007, it was designated as a "Nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Property."

The Suiunkaku rooms are said to have been used by the imperial family and literary figures due to their well-prepared facilities. There is a quiet atmosphere where you can feel the surrounding nature with all five senses.
*Currently, accommodation is not available due to cultural property protection. Tours are possible upon request.

Mitakeji Temple, where the legend of love knots is passed down

Mitake-dera Temple, located behind the inn, is a must-visit spot during your stay.
There is a legend that in the Edo period, when a man and a woman who were about to commit suicide visited this place, the Buddha, who had transformed into a warrior monk, encouraged them and said, ``If you soak in the hot springs, your feelings will change,'' and they were deterred from committing suicide. Masu.

Afterwards, the two dedicated the origami crane to Mitakeji Temple, and the legend of the ``love knot origami crane'' has been passed down from generation to generation. Today, it is known as a ``matchmaking spot'' based on this legend, and many lovers visit here to offer origami cranes.

The extensive ``private baths'' convey the thoughtfulness of a long-established inn that values history and tradition. There is plenty to see, including a quaint garden and an annex that has been designated as a nationally registered tangible cultural property. Experience the wonders of Japanese culture once again at Kotobuki-tei.
