MeiwaTown associated with Saio. There are many specialty products associated with historic regions that are not only delicious but also visually appealing.
This time, I will report on MeiwaTown 's "food" that is recommended as a souvenir from Mie!

[Kenbi Princess Vinegar (Himemikosu) Purple (Yukari)]

Musubi no Himejo Vinegar, made with ancient rice grown in saikuu MeiwaTown, is produced by KuwanaCity 's I. T. O. Un Co., Ltd. Black vinegar for health and beauty produced by President Ito.
President Ito and Chairman Kobayashi of the MeiwaTown Specialty Products Promotion Liaison Council decided to use prestigious ancient rice related to saikuu, the home of IseJingu, to create upgraded ancient rice specialties unique to MeiwaTown! We proceeded with development. The production is undertaken by Yamanizo Vinegar in TsuCity.

It is said that Princess Vinegar was born as a way to ``create new value'' from ancient rice after promoting ``health tourism'' and having repeated discussions about ``foods that make you healthy while sightseeing.''
The Musubi Princess Vinegar, which was completed in November 2017 with no added sugar or coloring after many trial productions, is filled with the thoughts of MeiwaTown, and its ingredients are also noteworthy. Because it uses the natural sweetener Luo Hanguo, which has zero calories, without using sugar, it has a sweet taste even though it is low in calories, and has a very elegant taste.
Hida's aged chili peppers are said to be effective for dieting!

Some of the princess vinegars are rich in anthocyanins, which are said to have various effects on diabetes, vision recovery, and tonicity, and black rice is soaked in the bottom of the vinegar. It's full of thoughtful attention to "health and beauty"!
The package also has a stylish design that reflects Saio's history, making it a great souvenir.

It is said to be effective for dieting, beautiful skin, anti-aging, and preventing hay fever that is a problem in early spring, so why not try drinking it for your health and beauty?
We recommend diluting about 1 tablespoon with water or cider and drinking it every day. President Ito's recommended way to drink it is to mix it with tomato juice!

Princess Vinegar costs 1,900 yen excluding tax for 200ml.
You can purchase it at the Exchange Center in MeiwaTown, Itsuki Chaya, Museum Aza Furusato, JA Smile, etc.

[Junihito Baum]

Next, we visited Matsuyuki Nosan Karakura Village, which is known for selling Meihime's Juni-Hitoe Baum.
In addition to selling our own rice, there is also a ``Tori Misoya'' where you can eat chicken yakiniku, a cafe ``Shiawaseya'', and a footbath and animal plaza outside, so you can have lots of fun!

``Meihime's Junihito Baum'', created by Nao Nakamura of oka High School, is a beautiful-looking Baumkuchen that was inspired by the Junihito worn by Meihime, a character from MeiwaTown.
It seems that the brightness of MeiwaTown and the Baum ring are inspired by the Meiwa ring! After winning the souvenir idea contest, sales began at Matsuyuki Nosan.

The brightly colored sweets are made with strawberry puree (pink), black rice (black), and makomodake mushrooms from KomonoTown (green), making this a local specialty sweet. It's colorful and very cute!
The taste and beauty are the result of a lot of trial and error with the ingredients used! Since the moisture content of the dough varies depending on the ingredients, we change the baking time for each flavor to create a fluffy texture.

When it was first invented, it started with a frying pan, and the prototype was repeated many times, and even now, we are continuing to pursue even more deliciousness. Currently, I use a special oven to carefully finish each piece one by one to create a beautiful Baum circle shape.
The carefully crafted Juni-Hitoe Baum is perfect for weddings, childbirth, family gifts, etc. We also sell through mail order, so you can purchase from all over Japan. From now on, you can purchase it at "Shiawase-ya" in the village.

Juni-Hito Baum is 1,500 yen including tax. There are also cut types.

Shiawaseya also sells other delicious handmade sweets, including fluffy chiffon cakes.
There is also a table where you can take a break and enjoy coffee made with organically grown beans.

When you're hungry, head to Torimisoya, a restaurant that serves chicken yakiniku!
When you enter the restaurant, the aroma of delicious meat whets your appetite. The delicious white rice is Matsuko Rice, which is made in-house. You can have the luxury of eating chicken yakiniku with glossy rice cooked in a pot in the center of the store!

Our weekday lunches are based on the concept of ``I want you to eat your fill of delicious food,'' and you get free refills!
Be sure to enjoy our special miso sauce!

Karakura Village also sells grapes directly during the Obon season.
You can select and purchase the grapes that grow on the greenhouse's trees on the spot!
There are many varieties of fresh grapes such as black beet, gold finger, and shine muscat. Enjoy the charming “Yume Grape”!

If you are visiting with children, go to the animal plaza. You can see ponies, sheep, and goats relaxing.

[Saian (Itsukian) Sake Manju]

Saian is located in the peaceful streets of MeiwaTown.
"Sake Manju", which was sold at events such as the Saio Festival, was born as Saian, a sweets restaurant in MeiwaTown, due to strong customer requests!

When you enter the store, you will find a peaceful atmosphere from beginning to end. The store manager, Mr. Nakatsuji, and all the staff welcomed us with smiles.
There are two wooden tables in the bright interior, where you can spend a relaxing time.

Saian's sake manju is delicious when eaten hot.
Inspired by the fact that there is a sake brewery dedicated to IseJingu, they came up with the idea of creating something delicious using local ingredients. In addition to local alcohol, plenty of Ise potatoes from TakiTown are used.
It is said that many prototypes were made before the chewy and delicious sake manju we have today was created.

Because it hardens in a short amount of time, they had to come up with various ideas, such as changing the portion size, and asked employees to taste it each time. After getting their opinions, the product was completed the day before it was to be announced at an event!
The story of how hard work and miracles came together to create delicious sake manju is like a drama.
The sake manju, which is made using a machine specially designed for Japanese sweets, is absolutely delicious, with a fluffy and chewy dough and a slightly sweet strained bean paste.

They have a track record of winning the gold medal at the Yoshimoto 47 Suffrand 2017 and 2018, and word of their hearty sake manju quickly spread, and it has become MeiwaTown 's specialty manju.

At Saian, whose concept is "Let's get healthy through food," we have a lot of recommended menu items!
The highlight is the brunch set. The ``brunch set'', which is different from both morning and lunch, is available from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and costs 600 yen, which is very cheap!
This set is made with the hope that even older people who tend to stay home after their morning walk will come and say, ``Let's go eat at Saian!'' .
Coffee is also included, and the homemade vegetable dressing and mildly flavored fruit salad are delicious!

This zenzai is so cute that you can't help but exclaim, "It's so cute!" The inside of the heart is so cute that you'll want to take a photo of it. Is it perfect for Instagram? !

There's also a menu full of things you'll want to eat over and over again, such as nostalgic aracha, fruit salad, and Japanese tea latte that you don't often see! Not only sake manju but also great as souvenirs. 500 yen for 6 pieces.
