Vegetables, fruits, and fresh flowers are brightly colored in each season. Agricultural and livestock products and various processed products from around Inabe are gathered here. The side dishes and grass mochi made by Uribou, as well as the gelato with a variety of flavors, are all delicious!

I came to ``Fureai Station Uribou'' in InabeCity.

I found the sign and it was over there! Just when I thought that, a tanuki came to greet me. A raccoon!? Not a raccoon? That's what I thought when I arrived.

``Uribou'' is an Inabe agricultural products direct sales store located right next to Oizumi Station on the Sangi Railway Hokusei Line.

We have been working to revitalize the people living in Inabe and the region since the days when the words "local production for local consumption," in which locally produced agricultural products are consumed locally, and the "sixth industry" were unknown.

Let's go inside the store!

About 15 minutes after opening, I went inside the store. The vegetables that were in the field just a moment ago are lined up in rows.
All the vegetables grown with great care by Inabe farmers are fresh and bright.

When people go shopping, the first thing they do is turn to vegetables.

This is a sweet tomato made by Shuji Hizuki of "S Class Farm", which produces tomatoes.
There are photos and profile introductions, so it's fun to read. Mr. Hishibaki is a former bicycle racer!

The name of the producer is displayed on all products, and most of the vegetables and other items also have a photograph of the producer. This seems to have been going on since it opened.

Gelato released in 2014. Creamy, pleasant and smooth. Rich but with a refreshing aftertaste!

The first reason for the deliciousness is the ingredients. The milk-based gelato uses ouchiyama Milk. Add to that the fresh vegetables and fruits from local farmers. The second reason for its deliciousness is effort. Mr. Kondo, who is in charge of gelato, creates a variety of flavors that make use of the ingredients. Over 40 types!
Mr. Kondo only makes products that he thinks are delicious, so I wonder how many products he has made, including prototypes. The photo shows ``Ishigurecha'' made with ``Strawberry Milk'' made with strawberries from ``Niconico Farm'' and ``Tago Farm'' and green tea from ``Marushin Ryokukoen.''

All of them are transformed into gelato while retaining the flavor of the ingredients.

Gelato comes in cones and cups that you can eat on the spot, and both are 280 yen for a single and 330 yen for a double. Half cup only available for 200 yen. A special ice cream called ``Premium'' is added, and it only costs 350 yen for a single.

This is a special gelato made with luxurious ingredients, including pure rice sake "Inahime" and 5 times the amount of Ishigurashi tea. The photo shows a cup of gelato to take home for 320 yen. The regular one costs 250 yen.

Cup gelato lined up in the freezer inside the store. I counted 35 different types! There are 14 different flavors lined up at the workshop, which change depending on the season, so you might find that flavor you've been wanting to try or discover a new one.

You can also take it home or ship it nationwide.

The very popular "Milky Queen" is 2kg for 1,100 yen, 5kg for 2,500 yen, and 10kg for 5,000 yen. Each grain is an elegant milky white color. It's glossy and doesn't harden even when cooled, making it delicious. It's sticky and chewy. It has a strong sweet taste and is traded at a high price.

It's a popular item at Uribou, but regulars who come shopping by train and people who don't do heavy lifting find it difficult to take it home even if they want it. They also offer delivery to people in those areas.

Inabe's local sake ``Ina Hime'' is 1,600 yen and is made from the ``Milky Queen'' rice produced in the Inabe area. Junmai sake brewed at Inagaki Sake Brewery in AsahiTown cho, InabeCity is said to have a rich and luxurious flavor.

This is an original Uribou product that can only be purchased here.

Sakura Pork is a branded pig from Matsuba Pig Farm in Kitase-cho InabeCity. The lean meat is soft and has just the right amount of marbling. These are the best pigs raised in the lush green nature of Inabe, with good water and air, and feed that consists mainly of corn, wheat, and rice.

Recommended cooking methods are shown depending on the part and cutting method, and the wide selection is also attractive. There were also processed products such as hamburgers, minced meat cutlets, and miso pickles.

The tea corner of Marushin Ryokukoen, which has been producing tea for about 140 years in Ishigure, Daian-cho InabeCity, in the foothills of Ishigure Pass in the Suzuka Mountains. Gyokuro, Sencha, kabusetea, Bancha, Hojicha, Barley tea, etc. were available.

With the theme of "Drink, Eat, Enter," they also sell candy called "Ise GreenTea Cream Sandwich" (680 yen for 10 pieces) and "Inabe no Ochakko" (320 yen) made with Ise kabusetea.

There was also a product called ``Tea Pon in the Bath!'' that was priced at 120 yen for 1 piece and 550 yen for 5 pieces. This is what “entering” means.

Handmade Japanese sweets. "Ohagi" and "Mugwort Mochi" are 3 pieces each for 330 yen, and "Ibara Mochi" is 3 pieces for 310 yen. Sekihan using Dainagon Azuki (large box) 1,200 yen, (small pack) 350 yen.

It has an old-fashioned, simple taste.

Every day from early in the morning, we make homemade sushi rolls, inari sushi, and side dishes. We fry croquettes and other items in small quantities and replenish them so that customers can purchase them in a state close to freshly made.

The local dish ``Funa Miso'' is only available from the end of January to mid-March.

The deli items from Inabe's popular Western restaurant "Yoshokuya SAKURA" are also on display.
The overall atmosphere of the store is reminiscent of the products that reflect Japan's rich rural lifestyle, blessed with nature, but here it feels like a different world. Is it something like a trattoria?
What they all have in common is a warm atmosphere.

"Sakura Pork Piccata with Tomato Sauce" and "Assorted 3 Appetizers (Shrimp Cutlet Aurora Sauce, Taro Bacon Homemade White Sauce, Special Meat Dango)" each cost 500 yen. There were also desserts such as plain and matcha puddings and chocolate tarts.

Soba is also produced in Inabe. "Inabe Soba" packaged (2 servings) 600 yen, boxed (4 servings) 1,080 yen. We also sell buckwheat flour for 1,500 yen per kilogram.

It is sold both heated so you can eat it anytime, and raw so you can enjoy it freshly made. ``Kakimochi'' with a simple taste is 450 yen. Photos are raw only.

Just mix it with your daily meals for a delicious and nutritious meal!
"Black rice" 150g 200 yen, 400g 500 yen.
"Red rice" 280g 350 yen, 500g 580 yen.

I bought ingredients for dinner and a gelato cup as a souvenir. I went home very satisfied with my purchase. The large raccoon that greeted us and saw us off was said to be ``Oneja Tanuki,'' which appears in Inabe folklore.
