Gozaisho Ski Resort is full of smiling children! Once you get off the ropeway, a silver world opens up to you!

Once you get off the ropeway, you will be greeted by a silvery white snowy landscape. "Gozaisho Ski Resort" is a convenient and familiar ski resort about an hour's drive from the nearby city of Nagoya. You can hear the laughter of many children on the children's sledding slope, which has a gentle slope, and in the children's plaza.

Skiing is the most representative winter sport!
But the snowy mountains are far away, driving on snowy roads is scary, and have you ever wished you could go skiing more easily?
``Gozaisho Ski Resort'' is a very familiar ski resort that responds to such wishes. The view from the ropeway is also amazing! It's full of charm that everyone from small children to adults can enjoy!

Gozaisho Ski Resort is located in KomonoTown, Mie Prefecture. It takes about 30 minutes from Yokkaichi Interchange on the Higashi-Meihan Expressway, and about an hour from Nagoya.

We will take a ropeway to the ski resort at the top of the mountain.

We recommend studless tires when going out! After parking your car in the private parking lot, which costs 1,000 yen all day long, the first thing you need to do is go to the ticket office.

When we arrived at the platform, a red gondola was waiting for us. When you get on the train, follow the instructions of the person in charge, and when you get off the bus, the automatic door opens so you can get off by yourself.
It's exciting!

Inside the gondola, an announcement is made about the view you can see from there. On a clear, sunny day, you can even see Chubu Centrair International Airport.
The No. 6 steel tower, which boasts the highest height in Japan, is a symbol of the beautiful white Mt.Gozaisho.

After arriving and walking for a while, I heard the voices of energetic children.
The Chibikko Sledding Slope is a gentle sledding course with a running distance of 100m.
Although it was not possible to ski that day due to the weather, there is also a slope for advanced skiers with a running distance of 220m and a slope of 25°, and a slope for beginners with a running distance of 210m and a slope of 17°.

Almost opposite the Chibikko slope, there is an eye-catching icefall.
It is an impressive object made by spraying mist of water to make chunks of ice larger.
It is most likely to be seen on days when the temperature is below freezing, from late December to late February. This is the highlight of Gozaisho Ski Resort, which has been built every year since 1981.

This is "Gosho Nature School".It is run by a non-profit organization called the Mie Prefecture Nature Conservation Center and is a successor to the Japanese Serow Center, which closed in 2006, and holds events related to nature.

In the winter, it becomes a ski house and accepts ski equipment rentals and ski schools.

Snowshoes can be rented at the ski house. A set of snowshoes and poles costs 1,000 yen.
This will make it easier to walk on piled up snow! Maybe you can find footprints of wildlife left on the snowy road? !

Walk a little along the path next to Zaisho Nature School, cross the suspension bridge, and you'll arrive at the "Children's Square."
This course is also gentle, so you can play calmly and leisurely. I met many children and parents who were sledding slowly.

The sightseeing lift is for one person.
There is a course that takes you from the ropeway station to the top of Mt.Gozaisho on foot, but if you take this lift, it will put less strain on your legs and hips, and you can get there in about 10 minutes while enjoying the beautiful snowy scenery.

arrival! The altitude is 1,212m!
A "first-class triangulation point" has been set up to indicate the summit. At the prefectural border between Mie Prefecture and Shiga Prefecture, there were some tourists taking pictures straddling the border.
The cool air feels good!

"Rime" cannot be seen unless these three conditions are met: humidity, wind, and sub-zero temperatures.
At Mt.Gozaisho, there are many opportunities to see beautiful frost-covered trees from late December to mid-March, especially from January to February.
The beauty of nature, which stands out against the blue sky, is breathtaking!

At the observation restaurant "Natur", there are many delicious menu items that will warm your freezing body. You buy a meal ticket at the entrance and then order at the counter.

I had the curry ramen. The first impression is that it is sweet, with a delicious curry that has just the right amount of stimulation and a spicy aftertaste. Recharge your energy with the soft Chinese noodles and deep-fried chicken!

Even so, it warms me up. It's snowy outside.

After enjoying the ski resorts and the fun at Yamagami Park, you'll probably get a little hungry. In such a case, the perfect place to visit is the restaurant shop ``Alpen Hall'', which is located on the way to the ropeway down line.
How about some tea time here? It has an open structure that is easy to enter.

Sweet and fragrant Gohei mochi. Sugar seeps into your tired body.
Doesn't miso make your body feel warm? A mellow and gentle Japanese sweet made with sweet miso.

At the souvenir corner, you can buy a Choro-Q shaped like a ropeway gondola. It's really cute and made to look exactly like it.
Ropeways move slowly and safely, but with Choro-Q, you can pull back and go all at once! is not it.

No. 6 steel tower seen from the gondola on the down line. The tallest pillar in Japan is 61m.
The beautiful white steel tower and the scenery below are spectacular. From KomonoTown at the foot of the mountain, you can see all the way to the neighboring prefecture.
One of the appeals of the ropeway is that you can enjoy a wonderful view until the end.

We also passed a gondola with photos of the highlights of Mt.Gozaisho. The total length of the ropeway is 2,161m, and the one-way journey takes approximately 12 minutes.
I didn't get to see them this time, but if you're lucky, you might even be able to meet the serows that live in this mountain! I'd like to see it next time, antelope.

Gozaisho Ski Resort is a ski resort that is friendly to everyone, with a convenient location that can be reached in about an hour from Nagoya, spectacular views from the ropeway, and plenty of activities that everyone from small children to adults can enjoy.
Anyway, it's close and you can easily go there! Why not come and visit us next weekend?
