First, what is ShimaCity, where IseShimaSummit was held? It is located in the southern part of the Shima Peninsula in Mie Prefecture, and the entire city is within Ise-Shima National Park. It is a satoumi town blessed with beautiful nature and an abundance of seafood, and has been called ``Miketsukuni,'' meaning a country that dedicated food to the imperial family and court since ancient times.
The venue, Kashishima Island in ShimaCity, is the largest island in Ago Bay, known for its pearl cultivation, and is dotted with lodging facilities, leisure facilities, and pearl product shops.

The restaurant is proud of its traditional hospitality and seafood French cuisine, so much so that people travel from far and wide just to enjoy this French cuisine. It's a spectacular dish that you'll want to taste not just once, but over and over again (the photo is different from the one taken at the summit).

The commemorative photo was taken at the rooftop garden of Shima Kanko Hotel The Bay Suite. Although it was a little cloudy, we could still see the beautiful ria coastline of Ago Bay in ShimaCity.

Matsusaka beef, also known as ``meat art'', is recognized as the best beef cattle in Japan due to its excellent quality, traditional farming in a rich natural setting, and the introduction and management of the system. It has also received praise from around the world.

The nutrient-rich waters of Ise Bay and the Kuroshio Current grow delicious Ise shrimp. The flesh is transparent and has a firm texture. The more you chew, the more the sweetness spreads. It can be boiled, baked, or raw. It is truly the king of shrimp that can be cooked in any way.

In Mie Prefecture, the ria coast has developed mainly in the Toba and Shima regions, and the rocky reef area is a good fishing ground for abalone, and the ama fishery is practiced there.

KumanoJidori(TheLocalBrandChicken) is a chicken raised in KumanoCity City, which is a cross between the "Yakido" gamecock native to Mie Prefecture, the "Ise Akadori" branded chicken from Mie Prefecture, and the "Nagoya Cochin". The meat has a strong red color and is highly elastic, and is characterized by the richness and flavor that is typical of free-range chicken.

Many of the sakes served at the summit were made in Mie Prefecture. It was also reported that there were many inquiries about Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten's ``Saku'', which was served at the working lunch, and Ota Sake Brewery's ``Hanzo'', which was served at the working dinner.

By the way...The temple and shrine that Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau and his wife visited on the 25th, the day before the summit, is ``Aomine Shofukuji Temple'' in TobaCity. This ancient temple is located on the border of TobaCity and ShimaCity, and is known as a place of prayer for maritime security. The Mifune Festival is held every year on January 18th according to the lunar calendar, and the festival is crowded with people as dedicated big catch flags are lined up all over the place.
