What is Yunose (Lum-chan Park)?

Sakakibara Onsen Yunose, which was popular as a city-run day-trip hot spring, closed on November 30, 2021 due to aging facilities, and reconstruction work has been underway.

Approximately nine months after it closed, it reopened on August 28th under the nickname Ram-chan Park, and in addition to the existing day-trip hot spring facility, a welfare accommodation facility, an auto campsite, and a barbecue facility have been newly established!

What is the origin of the name Ramchan Park?

The facility's nickname was ``Lamb-chan Park'' because the restaurant serves lamb meat, which is high in protein and low in calories, and aims to promote health through lamb meat.

The photo above is a Genghis Khan set meal (1,200 yen, tax included) that can be ordered at a Japanese-style restaurant.

Stir-fried vegetables with lamb meat is very juicy and delicious, and there is no smell at all♪

It came with ancient rice, udon, side dishes, and pickles, so I was very satisfied with the volume and taste.

Fees/Business hours

Prices for day trip hot springs (hot bath facilities) differ on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and weekdays, and are as follows.

[Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays] General: 650 yen, 65 and older: 450 yen, Under 12: 200 yen

[Weekdays] General 550 yen, 65 and over 350 yen, Under 12 200 yen

Business hours are from 8:00 to 21:00, last entry is at 8:30 pm, so it's easy to stop by on your way home from your trip ♫

Prices and business hours for campgrounds and welfare accommodation facilities will be explained later in the article.

Parking location

Previously, it was necessary to walk up a slope from the parking lot to the facility, but the renovated hot spring facility is located near the parking lot, making it easier to access.

The caring parking lot is right in front of the bathing facility, so we have taken great care to ensure barrier-free access.

Everything is new, so I couldn't stop being excited from the start of the interview!

First, we covered the equipment at the hot spring facility♪

Day trip hot spring (hot bath facility)

The new hot spring facility has been designed with barrier-free considerations in mind, making it a space that is easy for people of all ages to use.

The modern Japanese interior is very stylish, and it has evolved into a state-of-the-art hot spring facility that makes you wonder, "Is this really a hot spring?"

There is a locker in the hallway leading to the changing room where you can put your shoes in, and you can lock it.

Please do not leave the key at the front desk; you will have to keep it with you, so be careful not to lose it.

There is also a locker in the changing room, so leave your valuables there before heading to the public bath.

It's a keyband, so you can take a bath while wearing it on your wrist or arm.

There was a diaper table, so it was an easy environment to use even with small children.

There was a hot spring immediately after entering the large public bath, and there was also a hot spring bath that was close to a cold spring.

Cold spring? For those who think so. In fact, the water temperature of the hot spring source at Yunose is 25 degrees, so everything except the hot spring bath is heated by the hot spring source.

The spring quality is a simple alkaline spring that is colorless and transparent, and is characterized by a smooth texture.

It is also known as the ``hot spring for beautiful skin'' because the hot water makes your skin smooth and smooth, and it is also known for its beauty effects.

yubune is very spacious and you can see the beautiful green scenery from the window, which is a feast for the eyes ♫

There is a handrail at the entrance to yubune, and the hot springs are also barrier-free.

The shower booth has partitions on the left and right sides, so you can wash your body without worrying about the people next to you. We are also in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic, so having a partition gives you a sense of security.

There is body soap and conditioner-in shampoo in the washing area, so it's definitely fulfilling!

*At the time of the interview, the bucket and chairs had not yet been installed. When we reopen, there will be buckets and chairs in each shower booth.

The sauna space is filled with the warmth of wood, and the scent of wood is in the air.

This is a simple dry sauna equipped with a clock and thermometer.

Emergency call buttons were located near the entrance door and inside the room, all in easy-to-see locations.

There are two yubune in the open-air bath, one of which is a cold bath.

The area around Yunose is a village forest with few town lights, so you can sometimes see a starry sky at night.

There are differences in the shape and layout of the men's and women's yubune, and the men's and women's baths change places every week.

restaurant

There are two types of restaurants in Yunose: a hall where you can enjoy yakiniku and a Japanese-style room where you can order set meals.

The photo above shows the hall, with cassette stove-style Yakiniku plates on the tables.

Yakiniku dinner where you grill the lamb yourself is definitely the best♪

We also covered the Japanese-style room where you can order set meals.

The interior is modern in Japanese style, with indirect lighting creating a calm atmosphere.

This is a place reserved for bathers only, and you can enter from near the lockers where you put your shoes.

You can order the Genghis Khan set meal introduced at the beginning of this article here, and there is a wide variety of other menu items such as tempura set meals and a la carte dishes that are perfect as snacks with alcohol.

Welfare accommodation facility

The newly established welfare-type accommodation facility is completely barrier-free, and welfare specialist staff will stay and provide assistance.

Therefore, elderly people and people with disabilities who require assistance or nursing care can spend their time with peace of mind, and even one person can stay overnight.

Since this type of welfare accommodation facility is the first of its kind in the prefecture, I have a feeling that tourism in Mie will further develop.

Let's start with the guest room. There are 16 room types in total, including twin, Japanese-style, Japanese-Western, and VIP rooms.

Some rooms allow you to walk from the entrance to the bed with your shoes on, making it a wheelchair-friendly environment.

The twin and Japanese-Western rooms have nursing care beds with adjustable reclining heights, and all rooms are equipped with a toilet for disabled guests.

Some of the beds in the guest rooms are made from Airweave, a material used by famous athletes.

I'm glad that it also creates an environment that improves the quality of sleep for guests♪

There is no bath in the guest room, so use the large public bath or a private bath.

Next, head to one of the two private baths. This is available for an additional charge of 5,000 yen per hour and is exclusively for hotel guests.

It is open from 10:00 to 21:00 and reservations can be made at the front desk.

Both private baths allow you to move close to the bath in a wheelchair, and the jacuzzi type allows you to take a lift bath.

This is a lift bath facility, and it is a state-of-the-art nursing bathtub that allows you to take a bath while sitting on a lift.

You can easily adjust the height and position of the lift by holding the remote control in your hand.

You can fix yourself in a lying position, and the staff will assist you, making this a private bath that anyone can enjoy.

Of course, the hot water is 100% sourced from Sakakibara Onsen♪

After interviewing the room and private bath, I returned to the front desk.

Check-in and check-out are done here, and payment is made at check-in.

The only payment method is cash, and credit card payments are planned to be supported in the future.

Accommodation fees are as follows.

Twin (1 to 2 people, 8 rooms) 10,000 yen~
Japanese-Western room (1 to 2 people/2 rooms) 10,000 yen~
Japanese-style room A (1 to 2 people/1 room) 8,000 yen~

Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is at 10:00.

camp site

The new Yunose has a campsite and an auto campsite, and there are also facilities where you can enjoy barbecues ♫

The photo above shows the auto campground, which was newly established on the site of the old facility. Since it is a small hill, you can overlook the townscape of Sakakibara.

The auto campsite has 12 sections, is equipped with AC power, and costs 7,000 yen per night and 5,000 yen for day use.

Each section is vertically long and spacious, so you can enjoy a highly flexible layout. There is plenty of space even when driving a car, and it is possible to park it next to a light car or SUV.

There is a water hole building, bonfire building, and toilet building on the premises, so it was a comfortable environment to enjoy camping.

Barbecue facilities are located at the "campsite/open space" introduced next.

This is what the "campsite/open space" looks like.

This was previously a multi-purpose plaza, but has been renovated into a plaza where you can enjoy camping tents.

Unfortunately, the footbath that used to be here has been removed, but the cherry blossom tree is still in the same place as before, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing camping in the spring.

It seems that various events are held regularly in the plaza.

There are 17 plots where you can pitch your tent at the campsite, and there are also toilet buildings, a water hole building, and a barbecue building.

The fee is 3,000 yen per night and 2,000 yen for day use.

Now that there is an outdoor boom, Yunose has all the things people are looking for, and even as a beginner at camping, it was so appealing that I wanted to try it.

What did you think

We have brought you plenty of the charm of the renovated Yunose Koto Ramchan Park.

A new campsite has been established at Yunose, which used to be a good old hot spring facility, and by adding a welfare accommodation facility, it has evolved into a place where more people can enjoy sightseeing and Sakakibara Onsen.

I hope that this place will become a new tourist spot in Sakakibara Onsen Town, and that Sakakibara Onsen will become even more active as a tourist attraction in Mie.
