掲載日:2022.03.30

Umishima Yumin Club provides guided tours around the Ise-Shima National Park. Here, we plan a number of experiential tours that allow you to fully enjoy Toba's sea, including kayaking to uninhabited islands, gourmet tours eating seafood, and hands-on crafting experiences using sea glass.
This time, we actually experienced the charm of Umijima Yumin Club with Sarina Natsukawa, the "Mie Prefecture PR Ambassador"!

What is Umishima Yumin Club?

Umishima Yumin Club organizes locally-based guided tours in Toba's rich natural environment.

The tour menu changes depending on the season, and kayaking and snorkeling tours to uninhabited islands are popular in the summer!
In winter, there are other attractive tours held depending on the season, such as an experience in making tataki of TobaCity 's new brand of fish, Toshijima Toro Sawara.

This time, this Umijima Yumin Club was selected as an "Anshin Mie Ria Excellent Store", so we went to experience kayaking and seagrass craft with Mie Prefecture PR Ambassador Sara Natsukawa!

Experience the popular deserted island kayak tour!

First, we will introduce the deserted island kayak tour!

On this tour, we will head to three uninhabited islands (Mitsushima) floating in Toba Bay.

Actually, I hadn't planned to try it out during this interview, but he kindly said, ``I'd like to take the opportunity to ride it!'' and I was able to take the opportunity to ride it.

Natsukawa-san can’t help but do this fist pump♪

Don't worry if you are new to kayaking or are not good at sports. On this tour, the guide will give you a detailed lecture and lead before departure.

It was also Natsukawa's first time sea kayaking, so he carefully taught him the basics of rowing and how to change direction.

Finished the lecture and was ready!

It's an exciting departure to an uninhabited island floating in Toba Bay ♪

During this kayaking experience, we also had an experienced guide accompany us.

Not only will they assist you with operations and introduce you to recommended spots and scenery, but one of the attractions of this tour is that you can sometimes meet local fishermen, ama divers, and other people who live in the area.

Even if you are not confident in your physical strength, you can easily kayak with two people!

From the kayak, we were able to see the ocean from a perspective close to the water's surface as we navigated the ocean while being bathed in the sea breeze.

Depending on the tide, the Umishima Yumin Club's kayak tour allows you to land on an uninhabited island and explore it, and if you're lucky, you may even get to see Ama divers fishing up close.

It was an exhilarating experience in the middle of nature!

Sea glass craft experience!

Next, try your hand at sea glass crafting at the Umishima Yumin Club Information Center, which is located right near Toba Station!

Sea glass is glass with rounded corners cut by waves, and in this craft experience you can use this sea glass and seashells to make accessories such as magnets and bracelets, as well as gel candles.

Craft experiences are held regardless of the season or weather, so even if you suddenly get hit by bad weather during your trip, you can keep your memories of your trip in shape.

It also takes relatively short time, about 30 minutes, making it easy for everyone from children to adults to enjoy.

Mr. Natsukawa also experienced making wonderful gel candles using shells from Ise-Shima!

This will take about an hour, but you will be able to create a wonderful candle filled with memories and the sea of Ise-Shima.

Umishima Yumin Club also offers fun tours planned by guides who love the area depending on the season.

"Uninhabited Island Tanken Tour" where you can experience snorkeling and fishing on a deserted island in summer,

Each tour is filled with the charms of this region, including a ``tataki making experience'' where you can grill Toshijima Toro Sawara, a brand fish of this region that is in season in the winter.

We hope that you will enjoy the four seasons and rich nature of this region with a guided experiential tour at Umishima Yumin Club.

Thorough measures against infectious diseases!

Lastly, we will also introduce the measures taken to prevent infectious diseases at this facility!

Temperature checks and hand sanitizing are of course basic measures to prevent infectious diseases, but this facility also thoroughly communicates with customers when they enter the store.

In addition, customers who have booked tours will be contacted by phone the day before to confirm the details of the tour and to check if there are any changes in their physical condition.
If you are not feeling well, the cancellation fee is waived to prevent you from being forced to participate in the tour while feeling unwell, and to ensure that the tour can be held with peace of mind.

Although it is an experience facility where contact is likely to occur, you can feel safe at Umishima Yumin Club, which takes the utmost measures to prevent infectious diseases.
