Mie Prefecture's metropolitan area sales office "Mie Terrace" will open in Nihonbashi, Tokyo on September 28th! I recently covered Mie Terrace at a preview.
Mie Terrace is ``a place of hospitality where you can experience the culture of Mie Prefecture'', ``a place that provides opportunities and preparations for your trip to Mie Prefecture'', ``a place that evokes empathy for Mie Prefecture and creates fans of Mie Prefecture''. It is a complex facility based on the concept of ``a place that Mie Prefecture residents and natives can use as their own.''
Access is very convenient as it is directly connected to Mitsukoshimae Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and Hanzomon Line. It was about a 15 minute walk from the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station.
This multipurpose hall will host special exhibitions commemorating the Jingu ShikinenSengu, as well as participatory events such as tasting Mie's local sake and seasonal ingredients. We will be holding events sponsored by Mie Prefecture's cities, towns and commercial organizations to introduce the various charms of Mie Prefecture, including its rich nature, history, culture, and food.
Not only the products but also the interior is made with particular attention to Mie Prefecture, such as using Kumiko made in Mie Prefecture as part of the lighting equipment.
The photo shows Yokkaichi Banko-Yaki, and the brightly colored Banko-Yaki is lined up. Iga-Yaki was also beautifully displayed.
Ise-Udon pictured in the photo comes in over 10 varieties. Even within Mie Prefecture, it is hard to find such a wide selection of products.
Lunch, cafe, and dinner menus are provided. We use Mie Prefecture's proud ingredients such as oysters from HigashiKishu, deer from Iga, clams from Kuwana, and Matsusaka beef!
We will be open every day except for the year-end and New Year holidays. The shop is open from 10:00 to 20:00, and the restaurant is from 11:00 to 23:00 (last order at 22:30).
“Mie Terrace” is a place we can confidently recommend to people in Tokyo! Everyone please come and visit us. Please check our Facebook page for the latest information.
