Special exhibition commemorating the 130th anniversary of the invention of Mikimoto pearls
The ``Global Globe'' was completed in 1990 (Heisei 2), and the ``Yumeden'' was completed and opened to the public in 1993 (Heisei 5). Each was planned and produced as a project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the invention of Mikimoto Pearl. After that, it was on permanent display on the second floor of the museum for a long time, but this year, which marks its 30th anniversary, it will be featured as a special exhibition, with videos of the production process, details of each part, and profiles of the creators, etc. I decided to introduce it to you. We hope that you will once again appreciate the beauty of these crafts and the passion of the people involved in their creation.
