17th Beautiful Country Mie City Town Ekiden
Date: February 18, 2024 (Sunday)
The ``Beautiful TsuCity Town Ekiden'' connects Tsu City and IseCity with sashes.
This relay race is held in order to promote sports in the prefecture, with the aim of discovering and nurturing the junior generation and raising the awareness of all prefectural residents who play, watch, and support sports. The event will also be held with the aim of revitalizing each city and town within the prefecture and promoting further exchange and collaboration between cities and towns.
Ten runners selected from each city and town will run 42.195km from Mie Prefectural Office (TsuCity) to the Mie Kotsu G Sports Forest Ise Athletics Stadium (IseCity) while holding together a sash. . Participation conditions are determined for each section, and a wide range of people from elementary school students to working adults participate.
