Also called Oniyarai, this is a festival to drive away demons. On the same day, a fukumame-throwing event will also be held.
The special bean-throwing (twice at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.) is held on the last Sunday of January every year, and for those who are unable to visit the shrine on weekdays, the special bean-throwing ceremony is held an early Setsubun festival. .
