Taiki private lodging and countryside E-bike tour: A traditional Japanese mountainside life experience through interaction with the locals.
The town of Taiki in Mie Prefecture has long been a transit point between the sacred Kumano and Ise areas. Although it is a small town, it is colored with a deep history and diverse culture that has developed under the watchful eye of the spectacular nature that abounds in the area.
As we made our way back towards Izuho there was a light sprinkle of snow coming down. I was thankful I remembered to bring my gloves and a beanie on this trip.
We bid farewell to our wonderful hostess and hit the road, heading back up north. It was a fun and educational trip. I can't wait to visit Taiki again for some more exploring and minpaku staying again in the near future.
