Ise Jingu Geku (Toyo'uke-daijingu)

Your journey to popular spots in Ise-Shima begins at Ise Jingu. It is a traditional practice to visit Ise Jingu from Geku.Geku is dedicated toToyo'uke-no-Omikami who joins Amaterasu-Omikami in Jingu as her provider of companionship and sacred foods. She blesses us with abundant harvests and is the guardian of well-being, providing three essentials of human life: cloth, food and shelter.
Go through the torii gate, step on the gravel and feel refreshed as you walk on the approach with sunlight shining throught trees.

Ise Jingu Naiku (Kotaijingu)

It takes about 20 minutes by bus from Geku to Naiku.
Naiku is dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami, the ancestral kami (Shinto deity) of the Imperial family.
Ise Jingu Shrine, which is known as “OIse-san” as the “home of the heart of the Japanese people”, is a must-see spot ifyou come to Mie Prefecture. You will feel refreshed as you walk through the vast grounds wrapped in rich greenery. You should visit Ise-san once a year.

Okage Yokocho

Okage Yokocho is right next to Naiku. Buildings that are representative of Edo Period and Meiji Period styles have been relocated and reproduced here. Here, you can experience the charm of this region - specialty products, history, customs, and character all at the same time! This is a healing place where every day a nostalgic and relaxing time flows like the livliness of a festival.
Enjoy eating and buying souvenirs.

Meotoiwa (rocks of the married couple)

After visiting Ise Jingu, next is Meoto Iwa(rocks of the married couple).
The couple rocks have been regarded as a torii (an entrance gate of shrine) for worshiping the Japanese Goddess of the Sun from ancient times.
A great thick, sacred, straw rope connects the hasband rock and the wife rock.
In May to July (especially around the summer solstice), it is possible to see the sunrise from among the couple rocks, and it is crowded with many photographers and worshipers.
A full moon is seen between the couple rocks from autumn to winter, and it is a fantastic taste of view.

On the coast worshiping the couple rock, the shrine pavilions of Futami Okitama Shrine are standing. Why don't you worship the "full desire frog" that wishes will come true if you pour water with your wishes aloud? Please also get a cute amulet of marriage.

Ise Meotoiwa Interactive Aquarium "Ise Sea Paradise"

After visiting the rocks, let’s go for a hands-on experience with cute sea creatures!
An aquarium that allows you to look at the animals closely, touch them, and even feel the temperature.
The aquarium has the record of winning "5th place in the popular aquariums of Japan section" in the past by the rating of the world's largest travel site "Tripadvisor".

Sea lions welcome you at the entrance of the aquariume.
There are plenty of attractions such as the walruses which are experts at dynamic throwing kisses, performances by cute sea lions, the seals' touch and the yet unexperienced handshake with aonyx capensis.
Even adults could become like kids again and enjoy the time at the aquarium from the bottom of the heart!
